John 8:16–19 — The New International Version (NIV)

16 But if I do judge, my decisions are true, because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. 17 In your own Law it is written that the testimony of two witnesses is true. 18 I am one who testifies for myself; my other witness is the Father, who sent me.”

19 Then they asked him, “Where is your father?”

You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

John 8:16–19 — English Standard Version (ESV)

16 Yet even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for it is not I alone who judge, but I and the Father who sent me. 17 In your Law it is written that the testimony of two people is true. 18 I am the one who bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.” 19 They said to him therefore, “Where is your Father?” Jesus answered, You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”

John 8:16–19 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

16 And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 17 It is also written in your law, that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. 19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

John 8:16–19 — New Living Translation (NLT)

16 And if I did, my judgment would be correct in every respect because I am not alone. The Father who sent me is with me. 17 Your own law says that if two people agree about something, their witness is accepted as fact. 18 I am one witness, and my Father who sent me is the other.”

19 “Where is your father?” they asked.

Jesus answered, Since you don’t know who I am, you don’t know who my Father is. If you knew me, you would also know my Father.”

John 8:16–19 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

16 And yet if I do judge, My judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent Me. 17 It is also written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. 18 I am One who bears witness of Myself, and the Father who sent Me bears witness of Me.”

19 Then they said to Him, “Where is Your Father?”

Jesus answered, You know neither Me nor My Father. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also.”

John 8:16–19 — New Century Version (NCV)

16 But when I do judge, I judge truthfully, because I am not alone. The Father who sent me is with me. 17 Your own law says that when two witnesses say the same thing, you must accept what they say. 18 I am one of the witnesses who speaks about myself, and the Father who sent me is the other witness.”

19 They asked, “Where is your father?”

Jesus answered, “You don’t know me or my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father, too.”

John 8:16–19 — American Standard Version (ASV)

16 Yea and if I judge, my judgment is true; for I am not alone, but I and the Father that sent me. 17 Yea and in your law it is written, that the witness of two men is true. 18 I am he that beareth witness of myself, and the Father that sent me beareth witness of me. 19 They said therefore unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me, nor my Father: if ye knew me, ye would know my Father also.

John 8:16–19 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

16 And if also I judge, my judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who has sent me. 17 And in your law too it is written that the testimony of two men is true: 18 I am one who bear witness concerning myself, and the Father who has sent me bears witness concerning me. 19 They said to him therefore, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye know neither me nor my Father. If ye had known me, ye would have known also my Father.

John 8:16–19 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

16 Even if I do judge, my judgment is valid because I don’t make it on my own. I make my judgment with the Father who sent me. 17 Your own teachings say that the testimony of two people is true. 18 I testify on my own behalf, and so does the Father who sent me.”

19 The Pharisees asked him, “Where is your father?”

Jesus replied, “You don’t know me or my Father. If you knew me, you would also know my Father.”

John 8:16–19 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

16 And if I do judge, My judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and the Father who sent Me judge together. 17 Even in your law it is written that the witness of two men is valid. 18 I am the One who testifies about Myself, and the Father who sent Me testifies about Me.”

19 Then they asked Him, “Where is Your Father?”

You know neither Me nor My Father,” Jesus answered. If you knew Me, you would also know My Father.”

John 8:16–19 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

16 “But if I do judge, what I decide is right. This is because I am not alone. I stand with the Father, who sent me. 17 Your own Law says that the witness of two is what counts. 18 I give witness about myself. My other witness is the Father, who sent me.”

19 Then they asked him, “Where is your father?”

“You do not know me or my Father,” Jesus replied. “If you knew me, you would know my Father also.”
