Daniel 12:7–11

7 I heard the man dressed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, 1as he araised his right hand and his left toward heaven, and swore by bHim who lives forever that it would be for a 2ctime, 2times, and half a 2time; and as soon as 3they finish dshattering the 4power of the holy people, all these events will be completed.

8 As for me, I heard but could not understand; so I said, “My lord, what will be the 1outcome of these events?

9 He said, “Go your way, Daniel, for these words are concealed and asealed up until the end time.

10 aMany will be purged, 1purified and refined, but the bwicked will act wickedly; and none of the wicked will understand, but 2those who chave insight will understand.

11 “From the time that the regular sacrifice is abolished and the 1aabomination of desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.

The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time. When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”

I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”

He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.

11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.

He answered, “Go on your way, Daniel. The scroll is rolled up. It is sealed until the time of the end. 10 Many people will be made pure in the fire. They will be made spotless. But sinful people will continue to be evil. Not one sinful person will understand. But those who are wise will.

11 “The daily sacrifices will be stopped. And the hated thing that destroys will be set up. After that, there will be 1,290 days.
