1 Kings 8:12–14

Solomon Addresses the People

12 aThen Solomon said,

“The Lord has said that bHe would dwell in the thick cloud.

13 aI have surely built You a lofty house,

bA place for Your dwelling forever.”

14 Then the king 1faced about and ablessed all the assembly of Israel, while all the assembly of Israel was standing.

12 Then Solomon said, “The Lord has said that he would dwell in a dark cloud; 13 I have indeed built a magnificent temple for you, a place for you to dwell forever.”

14 While the whole assembly of Israel was standing there, the king turned around and blessed them.
