Ezekiel 7:4–9

And my eye will not spare you, nor will I have pity, but I will punish you for your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

“Thus says the Lord God: Disaster after disaster! Behold, it comes. An end has come; the end has come; it has awakened against you. Behold, it comes. Your doom has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. The time has come; the day is near, a day of tumult, and not of joyful shouting on the mountains. Now I will soon pour out my wrath upon you, and spend my anger against you, and judge you according to your ways, and I will punish you for all your abominations. And my eye will not spare, nor will I have pity. I will punish you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst. Then you will know that I am the Lord, who strikes.

I will not look on you with pity;

I will not spare you.

I will surely repay you for your conduct

and for the detestable practices among you.

“ ‘Then you will know that I am the Lord.’

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

“ ‘Disaster! Unheard-of disaster!

See, it comes!

The end has come!

The end has come!

It has roused itself against you.

See, it comes!

Doom has come upon you,

upon you who dwell in the land.

The time has come! The day is near!

There is panic, not joy, on the mountains.

I am about to pour out my wrath on you

and spend my anger against you.

I will judge you according to your conduct

and repay you for all your detestable practices.

I will not look on you with pity;

I will not spare you.

I will repay you for your conduct

and for the detestable practices among you.

“ ‘Then you will know that it is I the Lord who strikes you.

I will not look on you with pity or spare you,

but I will punish you for your ways

and for your detestable practices within you.

Then you will know that I am the Lord.”

This is what the Lord God says:

Look, one disaster after another is coming!

An end has come; the end has come!

It has awakened against you.

Look, it is coming!

Doom has come on you,

inhabitants of the land.

The time has come; the day is near.

There will be panic on the mountains

and not celebration.

I will pour out my wrath on you very soon;

I will exhaust my anger against you

and judge you according to your ways.

I will punish you for all your detestable practices.

I will not look on you with pity or spare you.

I will punish you for your ways

and for your detestable practices within you.

Then you will know

that it is I, the Lord, who strikes.

I will turn my eyes away and show no pity.

I will repay you for all your detestable sins.

Then you will know that I am the Lord.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says:

Disaster after disaster

is coming your way!

The end has come.

It has finally arrived.

Your final doom is waiting!

O people of Israel, the day of your destruction is dawning.

The time has come; the day of trouble is near.

Shouts of anguish will be heard on the mountains,

not shouts of joy.

Soon I will pour out my fury on you

and unleash my anger against you.

I will call you to account

for all your detestable sins.

I will turn my eyes away and show no pity.

I will repay you for all your detestable sins.

Then you will know that it is I, the Lord,

who is striking the blow.

And my eye will not take pity on you, and I will not show compassion for your ways; on you I will bring your detestable things; they will be in the midst of you, and you will know that I am Yahweh.’ Thus says the Lord Yahweh: ‘Look! Disaster after disaster is coming! The end comes, comes the end! It has awakened against you! Look! It comes! Doom is coming against you, the dweller of the land; the time comes, the day is near, panic and not joy is on the mountains. Soon I will pour out my rage on you, and I will fully vent my anger on you, and I will judge you according to your ways, and I will bring on you all of your detestable things. And my eye will not take pity, and I will not show compassion. According to your ways I will deal with you, and your detestable things will be in the midst of you, and you will know that I am Yahweh who strikes.

And mine eye shall not spare thee, neither will I have pity: but I will recompense thy ways upon thee, and thine abominations shall be in the midst of thee: and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Thus saith the Lord God; An evil, an only evil, behold, is come. An end is come, the end is come: it watcheth for thee; behold, it is come. The morning is come unto thee, O thou that dwellest in the land: the time is come, the day of trouble is near, and not the sounding again of the mountains. Now will I shortly pour out my fury upon thee, and accomplish mine anger upon thee: and I will judge thee according to thy ways, and will recompense thee for all thine abominations. And mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: I will recompense thee according to thy ways and thine abominations that are in the midst of thee; and ye shall know that I am the Lord that smiteth.
