Psalm 86:title–12

To You, O Lord, I Lift Up My Soul

A Prayer of David.

^1aIncline Your ear, O Yahweh, and answer me;

For I am ^bafflicted and needy.

^2aKeep my ¹soul, for I am a ^bholy one;

O You my God, save Your slave who ^ctrusts in You.

³Be ^agracious to me, O Lord,

For ^bto You I call all day long.

⁴Make glad the soul of Your slave,

For to You, O Lord, ^aI lift up my soul.

⁵For You, Lord, are ^agood, and ^bby nature forgiving,

And ^cabundant in lovingkindness to all who call upon You.

^6aGive ear, O Yahweh, to my prayer;

And give heed to the voice of my supplications!

⁷In ^athe day of my distress I shall call upon You,

For ^bYou will answer me.

⁸There is ^ano one like You among the gods, O Lord,

Nor are there any works ^blike Yours.

^9aAll nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord,

And they shall glorify Your name.

¹⁰For You are ^agreat and ^bdo ¹wondrous deeds;

You alone ^care God.

^11aTeach me Your way, O Yahweh;

I will walk in Your truth;

^bUnite my heart to fear Your name.

¹²I will ^agive thanks to You, O Lord my God, with all my heart,

And will glorify Your name forever.
