PSALM 115

To Yahweh’s Name Give Glory

1 aNot to us, O Yahweh, not to us,

But bto Your name give glory

Because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your 1truth.

2 aWhy should the nations say,

“bWhere, now, is their God?”

3 But our aGod is in the heavens;

He bdoes whatever He pleases.

4 Their aidols are silver and gold,

The bwork of man’s hands.

5 They have mouths, but they ado not speak;

They have eyes, but they do not see;

6 They have ears, but they do not hear;

They have noses, but they do not smell;

7 As for their hands, they do not feel;

As for their feet, they do not walk;

They do not make a sound with their throat.

8 aThose who make them 1will become like them,

Everyone who trusts in them.

9 O aIsrael, btrust in Yahweh;

He is their chelp and their shield.

10 O house of aAaron, trust in Yahweh;

He is their help and their shield.

11 You who 1afear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh;

He is their help and their shield.

12 Yahweh aremembered us; He will bless!

He will bless the house of Israel.

He will bless the house of Aaron.

13 He will abless those who 1fear Yahweh,

bThe small together with the great.

14 May Yahweh agive you increase,

You and your children.

15 May you be blessed of Yahweh,

aWho made heaven and earth.

16 The heavens are athe heavens of Yahweh,

But bthe earth He has given to the sons of men.

17 It is not the adead that praise Yah,

And it is none of those who go down to bsilence;

18 But as for us, we will abless Yah

From now until forever.
