Hebrews 11:13–16

13 aAll these died in faith, bwithout receiving the promises, but chaving seen them and having welcomed them from a distance, and dhaving confessed that they were strangers and exiles on the earth.

14 For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.

15 And indeed if they had been remembering that country from which they went out, athey would have had opportunity to return.

16 But now, they aspire to a better country, that is, a aheavenly one. Therefore bGod is not 1ashamed to be ccalled their God, for dHe prepared a city for them.
