Peter Denies Jesus Three Times
66And while* Peter was below in the courtyard, one of the female slaves of the high priest came up. 67And when* she saw Peter warming himself, she looked intently at him and* said, “You also were with the Nazarene, Jesus.” 68But he denied it,* saying, “I neither know nor understand what you mean!” And he went out into the gateway, and a rooster crowed.t
