In the place where you were created,

in the land of your ancestry,

I will judge you.

31 I will pour out my wrath on you

and breathe out my fiery anger against you;

I will deliver you into the hands of brutal men,

men skilled in destruction.

32 You will be fuel for the fire,

your blood will be shed in your land,

you will be remembered no more;

for I the Lord have spoken.’ ”

In the place where you were created, in the land of your origin, I will judge you. 31 And I will pour out my indignation upon you; I will blow upon you with the fire of my wrath, and I will deliver you into the hands of brutish men, skillful to destroy. 32 You shall be fuel for the fire. Your blood shall be in the midst of the land. You shall be no more remembered, for I the Lord have spoken.”

Ezekiel 21:28–32 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

28 And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord God concerning the Ammonites, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: 29 Whiles they see vanity unto thee, whiles they divine a lie unto thee, to bring thee upon the necks of them that are slain, of the wicked, whose day is come, when their iniquity shall have an end. 30 Shall I cause it to return into his sheath? I will judge thee in the place where thou wast created, in the land of thy nativity. 31 And I will pour out mine indignation upon thee, I will blow against thee in the fire of my wrath, and deliver thee into the hand of brutish men, and skilful to destroy. 32 Thou shalt be for fuel to the fire; thy blood shall be in the midst of the land; thou shalt be no more remembered: for I the Lord have spoken it.

Ezekiel 21:28–32 — New Living Translation (NLT)

It is polished to destroy,

flashing like lightning!

29 Your prophets have given false visions,

and your fortune-tellers have told lies.

The sword will fall on the necks of the wicked

for whom the day of final reckoning has come.

30 “Now return the sword to its sheath,

for in your own country,

the land of your birth,

I will pass judgment upon you.

31 I will pour out my fury on you

and blow on you with the fire of my anger.

I will hand you over to cruel men

who are skilled in destruction.

32 You will be fuel for the fire,

and your blood will be spilled in your own land.

You will be utterly wiped out,

your memory lost to history,

for I, the Lord, have spoken!”

While they divine a lie to you,

To bring you on the necks of the wicked, the slain

Whose day has come,

Whose iniquity shall end.

30 ‘Return it to its sheath.

I will judge you

In the place where you were created,

In the land of your nativity.

31 I will pour out My indignation on you;

I will blow against you with the fire of My wrath,

And deliver you into the hands of brutal men who are skillful to destroy.

You shall not be remembered,

For I the Lord have spoken.’ ”

29 Prophets see false visions about you

and prophesy lies about you.

The sword will be put on the necks

of these unclean and evil people.

Their day of judging has come;

the time of final punishment has come.

30 Put the sword back in its holder.

I will judge you

in the place where you were created,

in the land where you were born.

31 I will pour out my anger against you

and blast you with the fire of my anger.

I will hand you over to cruel men,

experts in destruction.

you will die in the land.

You will not be remembered,

because I, the Lord, have spoken.’ ”

In the place where you were created,

I will judge you

in the place where you were created,

in the land of your origin.

31 I will pour out My indignation on you;

I will blow the fire of My fury on you.

I will hand you over to brutal men,

skilled at destruction.

those skillful to destroy.

32 You shall be fuel for the fire,

your blood shall enter the earth;

you shall be remembered no more,

28 “Son of man, prophesy. Say, ‘The Lord and King speaks about the Ammonites. He also talks about the way they laugh because of Jerusalem’s fall. He says,

“ ‘ “A sword! A sword!

Nebuchadnezzar’s sword is ready to kill you.

It is shined to destroy you.

It flashes like lightning.

29 The visions of your prophets are false.

They use magic to try to find out

what is going to happen to you.

But their magic tricks are lies.

The sword will strike the necks of you sinful people.

You will be killed.

The day for you to be punished has finally come.

Your time is up.

30 Ammon, return your sword to its place.

In the land where you were created, I will judge you.

That is where you came from.

31 I will pour out my anger on you.

I will breathe out my burning anger against you.

I will hand you over to mean people.

They are skilled at destroying others.

32 You will be burned in the fire.

Your blood will be spilled in your land.

You will not be remembered anymore.

I have spoken. I am the Lord.” ’ ”
