Hosea 5:6–7

6 When they go with their flocks and herds

to seek the Lord,

they will not find him;

he has withdrawn himself from them.

7 They are unfaithful to the Lord;

they give birth to illegitimate children.

When they celebrate their New Moon feasts,

he will devour their fields.

6 With their flocks and herds they shall go

to seek the Lord,

but they will not find him;

he has withdrawn from them.

7 They have dealt faithlessly with the Lord;

for they have borne alien children.

Now the new moon shall devour them with their fields.

6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the Lord;

But they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

7 They have dealt treacherously against the Lord:

For they have begotten strange children:

Now shall a month devour them with their portions.

6 When they come with their flocks and herds

to offer sacrifices to the Lord,

they will not find him,

because he has withdrawn from them.

7 They have betrayed the honor of the Lord,

bearing children that are not his.

Now their false religion will devour them

along with their wealth.

6 “With their flocks and herds

They shall go to seek the Lord,

But they will not find Him;

He has withdrawn Himself from them.

7 They have dealt treacherously with the Lord,

For they have begotten pagan children.

Now a New Moon shall devour them and their heritage.

6 They will come to worship the Lord,

bringing their flocks and herds,

but they will not be able to find him,

because he has left them.

7 They have not been true to the Lord;

they are children who do not belong to him.

So their false worship

will destroy them and their land.

6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find him: he hath withdrawn himself from them. 7 They have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have borne strange children: now shall the new moon devour them with their fields.

6 They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find him: he hath withdrawn himself from them. 7 They have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have begotten strange children: now shall the new moon devour them, with their allotted possessions.

6 They go with their sheep and their cattle to search for the Lord, 

but they can’t find him. 

He has left them. 

7 They have been unfaithful to the Lord, 

because their children do not belong to him. 

Now their New Moon ⸤Festivals⸥ will devour them and their fields.

along with their fields.

7 They have dealt faithlessly with the Lord,

for they have borne illegitimate children.

Now the new moon shall devour them along with their fields.

6 Israel, you will come to worship me.

You will bring your animals to offer as sacrifices.

But you will not find me.

I have turned away from you.

7 You are not faithful to me.

Your children do not belong to me.

The way you act at your New Moon Feasts

will destroy you and your fields.

Now the new moon will devour them with their land.
