Psalm 92:5–9 — The New International Version (NIV)

How great are your works, Lord,

how profound your thoughts!

Senseless people do not know,

fools do not understand,

that though the wicked spring up like grass

and all evildoers flourish,

they will be destroyed forever.

But you, Lord, are forever exalted.

For surely your enemies, Lord,

surely your enemies will perish;

all evildoers will be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — English Standard Version (ESV)

How great are your works, O Lord!

Your thoughts are very deep!

The stupid man cannot know;

the fool cannot understand this:

that though the wicked sprout like grass

and all evildoers flourish,

they are doomed to destruction forever;

but you, O Lord, are on high forever.

For behold, your enemies, O Lord,

for behold, your enemies shall perish;

all evildoers shall be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — New Living Translation (NLT)

O Lord, what great works you do!

And how deep are your thoughts.

Only a simpleton would not know,

and only a fool would not understand this:

Though the wicked sprout like weeds

and evildoers flourish,

they will be destroyed forever.

But you, O Lord, will be exalted forever.

Your enemies, Lord, will surely perish;

all evildoers will be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

O Lord, how great are Your works!

Your thoughts are very deep.

A senseless man does not know,

Nor does a fool understand this.

When the wicked spring up like grass,

And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,

It is that they may be destroyed forever.

But You, Lord, are on high forevermore.

For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,

For behold, Your enemies shall perish;

All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — New Century Version (NCV)

Lord, you have done such great things!

How deep are your thoughts!

Stupid people don’t know these things,

and fools don’t understand.

Wicked people grow like the grass.

Evil people seem to do well,

but they will be destroyed forever.

But, Lord, you will be honored forever.

Lord, surely your enemies,

surely your enemies will be destroyed,

and all who do evil will be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — American Standard Version (ASV)

How great are thy works, O Jehovah!

Thy thoughts are very deep.

A brutish man knoweth not;

Neither doth a fool understand this:

When the wicked spring as the grass,

And when all the workers of iniquity do flourish;

It is that they shall be destroyed for ever.

But thou, O Jehovah, art on high for evermore.

For, lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah,

For, lo, thine enemies shall perish;

All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Jehovah, how great are thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep: A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand it.

When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed for ever. And thou, Jehovah, art on high for evermore. For lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, for lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

How spectacular are your works, O Lord

How very deep are your thoughts!

A stupid person cannot know

and a fool cannot understand

that wicked people sprout like grass

and all troublemakers blossom ⸤like flowers⸥,

only to be destroyed forever.

But you, O Lord, are highly honored forever.

Now look at your enemies, O Lord

Now look at your enemies.

They disappear, and all troublemakers are scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

How magnificent are Your works, Lord,

how profound Your thoughts!

A stupid person does not know,

a fool does not understand this:

though the wicked sprout like grass

and all evildoers flourish,

they will be eternally destroyed.

But You, Lord, are exalted forever.

For indeed, Lord, Your enemies—

indeed, Your enemies will perish;

all evildoers will be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

How great are your works, O Lord!

Your thoughts are very deep!

The dullard cannot know,

the stupid cannot understand this:

though the wicked sprout like grass

and all evildoers flourish,

they are doomed to destruction forever,

but you, O Lord, are on high forever.

For your enemies, O Lord,

for your enemies shall perish;

all evildoers shall be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

How great are your deeds, O Yahweh;

how very deep are your thoughts.

The brutish man does not know,

and the fool cannot understand this.

When the wicked flourish like grass

and all the workers of evil blossom,

it is so they can be destroyed forever.

But you are on high forever, O Yahweh.

For behold, your enemies, O Yahweh,

for behold, your enemies will perish.

All the workers of evil will be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

Lord, how great are the things you do!

How wise your thoughts are!

Here is something a man who isn’t wise doesn’t know.

Here is what a foolish person doesn’t understand.

Those who are evil spring up like grass.

Those who do wrong succeed.

But they will be destroyed forever.

But Lord, you are honored forever.

Lord, your enemies will certainly die.

All those who do evil will be scattered.

Psalm 92:5–9 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

How great are Your works, O Lord!

Your thoughts are very deep.

A senseless man has no knowledge,

Nor does a stupid man understand this:

That when the wicked sprouted up like grass

And all who did iniquity flourished,

It was only that they might be destroyed forevermore.

But You, O Lord, are on high forever.

For, behold, Your enemies, O Lord,

For, behold, Your enemies will perish;

All who do iniquity will be scattered.
