32 In spite of all this, they kept on sinning;

in spite of his wonders, they did not believe.

33 So he ended their days in futility

and their years in terror.

34 Whenever God slew them, they would seek him;

they eagerly turned to him again.

35 They remembered that God was their Rock,

that God Most High was their Redeemer.

Psalm 78:32–35 — English Standard Version (ESV)

32 In spite of all this, they still sinned;

despite his wonders, they did not believe.

33 So he made their days vanish like a breath,

and their years in terror.

34 When he killed them, they sought him;

they repented and sought God earnestly.

35 They remembered that God was their rock,

the Most High God their redeemer.

Psalm 78:32–35 — New Living Translation (NLT)

32 But in spite of this, the people kept sinning.

Despite his wonders, they refused to trust him.

33 So he ended their lives in failure,

their years in terror.

34 When God began killing them,

they finally sought him.

They repented and took God seriously.

35 Then they remembered that God was their rock,

that God Most High was their redeemer.

Psalm 78:32–35 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

And they returned and sought earnestly for God.

35 Then they remembered that God was their rock,

And the Most High God their Redeemer.

Psalm 78:32–35 — New Century Version (NCV)

32 But they kept on sinning;

they did not believe even with the miracles.

33 So he ended their days without meaning

34 Anytime he killed them, they would look to him for help;

they would come back to God and follow him.

35 They would remember that God was their Rock,

that God Most High had saved them.

Psalm 78:32–35 — American Standard Version (ASV)

And the Most High God their redeemer.

He ended their years with terror.

They gladly turned back to him again.

35 They remembered that God was their Rock.

They remembered that God Most High had set them free.
