Psalm 77:1–20
1 aI cried unto God with my voice,
Even unto God with my voice; and he gave ear unto me.
2 bIn the day of my trouble I sought the Lord:
†My sore ran cin the night, and ceased not:
My soul drefused to be comforted.
3 I remembered God, and was etroubled:
I complained, and fmy spirit was goverwhelmed. Selah.
4 Thou holdest mine eyes waking:
I am so htroubled that I cannot speak.
5 I have iconsidered iithe days of old,
jThe years of ancient times.
6 I call to remembrance my ksong lin the night:
I commune with mine own heart:
And my spirit made diligent search.
7 Will the Lord mcast off for ever?
And will he nbe favourable no more?
8 Is his mercy clean gone for ever?
Doth ohis promise fail †for evermore?
9 pHath God forgotten to be gracious?
qHath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah.
10 And I said, This is rmy infirmity:
But I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.
11 I will remember the works of sthe Lord:
Surely tI will remember thy uwonders of old.
12 tI will meditate also of all xthy work, and ttalk of ythy doings.
13 Thy way, O God, is in zthe sanctuary:
aWho is so great a God as our God?
14 Thou art the God abthat doest uwonders:
Thou hast bbdeclared thy strength among the people.
15 Thou hast cwith thine arm cdredeemed thy people,
The sons of Jacob and ddJoseph. Selah.
16 efThe waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; fthey were afraid:
The depths also mwere troubled.
17 †The clouds fpoured out water:
The skies gsent out a sound:
hThine arrows also went abroad.
18 iThe voice of thy thunder was in the heaven:
kThe lightnings lightened the world:
lThe earth mtrembled and lshook.
19 nThy way is in the sea,
And thy opath in the great waters,
And thy pfootsteps qare not known.
20 rThou leddest thy people slike a flock
tBy the hand of Moses and Aaron.
