Psalm 110:1–113:9
1 aThe Lord said unto my Lord,
dUntil I make thine enemies thy efootstool.
2 The Lord shall send the frod of thy strength gout of Zion:
hRule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
3 iThy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, kin the beauties of holiness
||From the womb of the morning: thou hast lthe dew of thy youth.
4 mThe Lord nhath sworn, and owill not repent,
mpThou art a qpriest rfor ever
After the order of sMelchizedek.
5 The Lord tat thy right hand
yShall strike through ukings in wthe day of xhis wrath.
6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies;
He yshall wound the heads over ||many countries.
7 He zshall drink of the brook in the way:
Therefore shall he lift up the head.
1 †Praise ye the Lord.
aI will praise the Lord with my whole heart,
bIn the assembly of the upright, and ain the congregation.
2 cThe works of the Lord are great,
Sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.
3 dHis work is ehonourable and glorious:
And fhis righteousness endureth for ever.
4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered:
The Lord is ggracious and full of compassion.
5 He hath given †hmeat unto them that fear him:
He will ever be mindful of his covenant.
6 He hath shewed his people the power of his works,
That he may give them the heritage of the heathen.
7 The works of his hands are iverity and judgment;
All his commandments are ksure.
8 lThey †stand fast for ever and ever,
And are done in illtruth and uprightness.
9 mHe sent nredemption unto his people:
He hath commanded his covenant for ever:
oHoly and opreverend is his name.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of qwisdom:
||A good understanding have all they †that do rhis commandments:
His praise fendureth for ever.
1 †Praise ye the Lord.
aBlessed is the man that feareth the Lord,
That bdelighteth greatly in his commandments.
2 cHis seed shall be mighty upon earth:
The generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3 dWealth and driches shall be in his house:
And ehis righteousness endureth for ever.
4 fUnto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness:
He is ggracious, and full of compassion, and hrighteous.
5 A good man isheweth favour, and lendeth:
He will jguide his affairs with †kdiscretion.
6 Surely lhe shall not be moved for ever:
mThe righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7 nHe shall not be afraid of evil tidings:
His oheart is fixed, ptrusting in the Lord.
8 His heart is qestablished, nhe shall not be afraid,
Until he rsee his desire upon his enemies.
9 sHe hath tdispersed, he hath given to the poor;
eHis urighteousness endureth for ever;
His vhorn shall be exalted with honour.
10 The wicked shall see it, and be grieved;
He shall wgnash with his teeth, and xmelt away:
yThe desire yzof the wicked shall perish.
Psalm 113*
1 †Praise ye the Lord.
aPraise, O ye abservants of the Lord,
Praise the name of the Lord.
2 cBlessed be the name of the Lord
From this time forth and for evermore.
3 dFrom the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same
eThe Lord’s name is fto be praised.
4 The Lord is ghigh above all nations,
And hhis glory above the heavens.
5 iWho is like unto the Lord our God,
Who †dwelleth on high,
6 jWho humbleth himself to behold
The things that are in heaven, and in the earth!
7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust,
And lifteth the needy out of the dunghill;
8 kThat he may lset him with princes,
Even with the princes of his people.
9 mHe maketh the barren woman †to keep house,
And to be a joyful mother of children.
nPraise ye the Lord.
