Matthew 24:44–45

44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of the servants in his household to give them their food at the proper time?

44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

45 “Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his master has set over his household, to give them their food at the proper time?

44 You also must be ready all the time, for the Son of Man will come when least expected.

45 “A faithful, sensible servant is one to whom the master can give the responsibility of managing his other household servants and feeding them.

44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season?

44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at a time you don’t expect him.

45 “Who is the wise and loyal servant that the master trusts to give the other servants their food at the right time?

44 Therefore be ye also ready; for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath set over his household, to give them their food in due season?

44 Wherefore ye also, be ye ready, for in that hour that ye think not the Son of man comes. 45 Who then is the faithful and prudent bondman whom his lord has set over his household, to give them food in season?

44 Therefore, you, too, must be ready because the Son of Man will return when you least expect him. 

45 “Who, then, is the faithful and wise servant? The master will put that person in charge of giving the other servants their food at the right time.

44 This is why you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

45 “Who then is a faithful and sensible slave, whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give them food at the proper time?

44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

45 “Who, then, is the faithful and wise slave whom his master has put in charge of his household, to give the other slaves their allowance of food at the proper time?

44 For this reason you also must be ready, because the Son of Man is coming at an hour that you do not think he will come.

45 “Who then is the faithful and wise slave whom the master has put in charge of his household slaves to give them their food at the right time?

44 So you also must be ready. The Son of Man will come at an hour when you don’t expect him.

45 “Suppose a master puts one of his servants in charge of the other servants in his house. The servant’s job is to give them their food at the right time. The master wants a faithful and wise servant for this.

44 “For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

45 “Who then is the faithful and sensible slave whom his master put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?
