Luke 16:27–17:1
27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may ptestify unto them, lest they also come into this place of itorment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have qMoses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, kfather Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, rIf they hear not qMoses and the prophets, sneither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.
17 Then said he unto the disciples, aIt is bimpossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come!

29 “Abraham replied, ‘They have Moses and the Prophets; let them listen to them.’
30 “ ‘No, father Abraham,’ he said, ‘but if someone from the dead goes to them, they will repent.’
31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead.’ ”
