John 5:17–18

17 But Jesus kanswered them, My Father worketh lhitherto, mand I work. 18 Therefore fthe Jews nsought the more to kill him, because he not only jhad broken the sabbath, but osaid also that God was phis Father, qmaking himself equal with God.

John 5:17–18 — The New International Version (NIV)

17 In his defense Jesus said to them, My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I too am working.” 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.
