13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, the brought Jesus forth, and sat down in uthe judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but win the Hebrew, Gabbatha. 14 And it was xthe preparation of the passover, and about ythe sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, zBehold your King! 15 But they cried out, zzAway with him, away with him, crucify him. Pilate saith unto them, Shall I crucify your King? The chief priests answered, aWe have no king but Caesar.

13 When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement (which in Aramaic is Gabbatha). 14 It was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about noon.

“Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews.

15 But they shouted, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”

“Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked.

“We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered.
