John 18:36–37

36 Jesus answered, bMy kingdom is not cof this world: if my kingdom were cof this world, then would dmy servants efight, that I should not fbe delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, gThou sayest that I am a king. hTo this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should ibear witness unto kthe truth. lEvery one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

John 18:36–37 — The New International Version (NIV)

36 Jesus said, My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”

37 “You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

Jesus answered, You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”
