Jeremiah 49:38–39

38 I will set my throne in Elam

and destroy her king and officials,”

declares the Lord.

39 “Yet I will restore the fortunes of Elam

in days to come,”

declares the Lord.

38 and I will set my throne in Elam and destroy their king and officials, declares the Lord.

39 “But in the latter days I will restore the fortunes of Elam, declares the Lord.”

38 I will set my throne in Elam,” says the Lord,

“and I will destroy its king and officials.

39 But I will restore the fortunes of Elam

in days to come.

I, the Lord, have spoken!”

38 I will set My throne in Elam,

And will destroy from there the king and the princes,’ says the Lord.

39 ‘But it shall come to pass in the latter days:

I will bring back the captives of Elam,’ says the Lord.”

38 I will set up my throne in Elam to show that I am king,

and I will destroy its king and its officers!” says the Lord.

39 “But I will make good things happen to Elam again

in the future,” says the Lord.

38 and I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence king and princes, saith Jehovah. 39 But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring back the captivity of Elam, saith Jehovah.

38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence king and princes, saith Jehovah. 39 But it shall come to pass at the end of the days, I will turn the captivity of Elam, saith Jehovah.

38 I’ll set my throne in Elam and destroy its king and officials, 

declares the Lord. 

39 But afterward, I’ll return the captives of Elam, declares the Lord. 

38 I will set My throne in Elam,

and I will destroy the king and officials from there.

This is the Lord’s declaration.

39 In the last days,

I will restore the fortunes of Elam.

This is the Lord’s declaration.

38 and I will set my throne in Elam and destroy their king and officials, says the Lord.

39 But in the latter days I will restore the fortunes of Elam, says the Lord.

38 And I will set my throne in Elam

and I will destroy from there king and officials,’ declares Yahweh.

39 ‘And then in the last of the days

I will restore the fortunes of Elam,’ declares Yahweh.”

38 I will set up my throne in Elam.

39 “But in days to come I will bless Elam

with great success again,”

announces the Lord.

38 ‘Then I will set My throne in Elam

And destroy out of it king and princes,’

Declares the Lord.

39 ‘But it will come about in the last days

That I will restore the fortunes of Elam,’ ”
