Jeremiah 15:6–7

6 You have rejected me,” declares the Lord.

“You keep on backsliding.

So I will reach out and destroy you;

I am tired of holding back.

7 I will winnow them with a winnowing fork

at the city gates of the land.

I will bring bereavement and destruction on my people,

for they have not changed their ways.

6 You have rejected me, declares the Lord;

you keep going backward,

so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you—

I am weary of relenting.

7 I have winnowed them with a winnowing fork

in the gates of the land;

I have bereaved them; I have destroyed my people;

they did not turn from their ways.

6 You have abandoned me

and turned your back on me,”

says the Lord.

“Therefore, I will raise my fist to destroy you.

I am tired of always giving you another chance.

7 I will winnow you like grain at the gates of your cities

and take away the children you hold dear.

I will destroy my own people,

because they refuse to change their evil ways.

6 You have forsaken Me,” says the Lord,

“You have gone backward.

Therefore I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;

I am weary of relenting!

7 And I will winnow them with a winnowing fan in the gates of the land;

I will bereave them of children;

I will destroy My people,

Since they do not return from their ways.

6 Jerusalem, you have left me,” says the Lord.

“You keep going farther and farther away,

so I have taken hold of you and destroyed you.

I was tired of holding back my anger.

7 I have separated the people of Judah with my pitchfork

and scattered them at the city gates of the land.

My people haven’t changed their ways.

So I have destroyed them

and taken away their children.

6 Thou hast rejected me, saith Jehovah, thou art gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against thee, and destroyed thee; I am weary with repenting. 7 And I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I have bereaved them of children, I have destroyed my people; they returned not from their ways.

6 Thou hast cast me off, saith Jehovah, thou art gone backward; and I have stretched out my hand against thee, and will destroy thee: I am become weary of repenting. 7 And I will fan them with a fan in the gates of the land; I will bereave of children and destroy my people: they have not returned from their ways.

6 You have left me,” declares the Lord. 

“You have turned your back on me. 

So I will use my power against you and destroy you. 

I’m tired of showing compassion to you. 

7 “I will separate them with a winnowingshovel at the city gates. 

I will make them childless. 

I will destroy my people because they will not change their ways. 

6 You have left Me.

This is the Lord’s declaration.

You have turned your back,

so I have stretched out My hand against you

and destroyed you.

I am tired of showing compassion.

at the gates of the land.

I made them childless; I destroyed My people.

They would not turn from their ways.

6 You have rejected me, says the Lord;

you are going backward,

so I have stretched out my hand against you and destroyed you—

I am weary of relenting.

7 I have winnowed them with a winnowing fork

in the gates of the land;

I have bereaved them; I have destroyed my people;

they did not turn from their ways.

6 You have forsaken me,” declares Yahweh.

“You go backward, so I have stretched my hand against you,

and I have destroyed you.

I am tired of becoming remorseful.

7 And I have winnowed them with a winnowing fork in the gates of the land.

I am bereaved.

I have destroyed my people.

They did not turn back from their ways.

6 You have said no to me,” announces the Lord.

“You keep on turning away from me.

So I will destroy you with my own hands.

I can’t show you my tender love anymore.

7 I will stand at the city gates of the land.

I will separate the straw from the grain.

I will destroy my people. I will bring great sorrow on them.

They have not changed their ways.

6 “You who have forsaken Me,” declares the Lord,

“You keep going backward.

So I will stretch out My hand against you and destroy you;

I am tired of relenting!

7 “I will winnow them with a winnowing fork

At the gates of the land;

I will bereave them of children, I will destroy My people;

They did not repent of their ways.
