Isaiah 25:5–8
5 Thou shalt bring down othe noise of strangers,
As the heat in pa dry place;
Even the heat qwith the shadow of a cloud:
rThe branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.
6 And in sthis mountain shall tthe Lord of hosts make uunto all people
tA feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees,
Of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 And he will †destroy in sthis mountain
The face of the covering †cast tover all people,
And uthe vail that is spread tover all nations.
8 vHe will swallow up death in wvictory;
And xthe Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces;
And the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth:

5 and like the heat of the desert.
You silence the uproar of foreigners;
as heat is reduced by the shadow of a cloud,
so the song of the ruthless is stilled.
6 On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare
a feast of rich food for all peoples,
a banquet of aged wine—
the best of meats and the finest of wines.
7 On this mountain he will destroy
the shroud that enfolds all peoples,
the sheet that covers all nations;
8 he will swallow up death forever.
The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears
from all faces;
he will remove his people’s disgrace
from all the earth.

7 There he will remove the cloud of gloom,
the shadow of death that hangs over the earth.
8 He will swallow up death forever!

against his land and people.
