Genesis 39:19–23
19 And it came to pass, when his master heard the words of his wife, which she spake unto him, saying, After this manner did thy servant to me; that his wrath was kindled. 20 And Joseph’s master took him, and lput him into the mprison, a place where the king’s prisoners were bound: and he was there in the mprison. 21 But nthe Lord was with Joseph, and †shewed him mercy, and ogave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison. 22 And the keeper of the prison pcommitted to Joseph’s hand all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it. 23 The keeper of the prison looked not to any thing that was under his hand; because qthe Lord was with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper.

19 When his master heard the story his wife told him, saying, “This is how your slave treated me,” he burned with anger. 20 Joseph’s master took him and put him in prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined.
But while Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord was with him; he showed him kindness and granted him favor in the eyes of the prison warden. 22 So the warden put Joseph in charge of all those held in the prison, and he was made responsible for all that was done there. 23 The warden paid no attention to anything under Joseph’s care, because the Lord was with Joseph and gave him success in whatever he did.

While Joseph was there in the prison, 21 the Lord was with him. He was kind to him.
So the man who was running the prison was pleased with Joseph. 22 He put Joseph in charge of all of the prisoners. He made him accountable for everything that was done there. 23 The man who ran the prison didn’t pay attention to anything that was in Joseph’s care.
The Lord was with Joseph. He gave Joseph success in everything he did.
