Deuteronomy 12:30–31
30 Take heed to thyself nthat thou be not snared †by following them, after that they be destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How did these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise. 31 oThou shalt not do so unto the Lord thy God: for every †abomination to the Lord, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for peven their sons and their daughters they have burnt in the fire to their gods.

Deuteronomy 12:30–31 — The New International Version (NIV)
30 and after they have been destroyed before you, be careful not to be ensnared by inquiring about their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? We will do the same.” 31 You must not worship the Lord your God in their way, because in worshiping their gods, they do all kinds of detestable things the Lord hates. They even burn their sons and daughters in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.

They even burn up their children in the fire as sacrifices to their gods.
