Psalm 115:1–5 — The New International Version (NIV)

Not to us, Lord, not to us

but to your name be the glory,

because of your love and faithfulness.

Why do the nations say,

“Where is their God?”

Our God is in heaven;

he does whatever pleases him.

But their idols are silver and gold,

made by human hands.

They have mouths, but cannot speak,

eyes, but cannot see.

Psalm 115:1–5 — English Standard Version (ESV)

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory,

for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness!

Why should the nations say,

“Where is their God?”

Our God is in the heavens;

he does all that he pleases.

Their idols are silver and gold,

the work of human hands.

They have mouths, but do not speak;

eyes, but do not see.

Psalm 115:1–5 — New Living Translation (NLT)

Not to us, O Lord, not to us,

but to your name goes all the glory

for your unfailing love and faithfulness.

Why let the nations say,

“Where is their God?”

Our God is in the heavens,

and he does as he wishes.

Their idols are merely things of silver and gold,

shaped by human hands.

They have mouths but cannot speak,

and eyes but cannot see.

Psalm 115:1–5 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,

But to Your name give glory,

Because of Your mercy,

Because of Your truth.

Why should the Gentiles say,

“So where is their God?”

But our God is in heaven;

He does whatever He pleases.

Their idols are silver and gold,

The work of men’s hands.

They have mouths, but they do not speak;

Eyes they have, but they do not see;

Psalm 115:1–5 — New Century Version (NCV)

It does not belong to us, Lord.

The glory belongs to you

because of your love and loyalty.

Why do the nations ask,

“Where is their God?”

Our God is in heaven.

He does what he pleases.

Their idols are made of silver and gold,

the work of human hands.

They have mouths, but they cannot speak.

They have eyes, but they cannot see.

Psalm 115:1–5 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us,

But unto thy name give glory,

For thy lovingkindness, and for thy truth’s sake.

Wherefore should the nations say,

Where is now their God?

But our God is in the heavens:

He hath done whatsoever he pleased.

Their idols are silver and gold,

The work of men’s hands.

They have mouths, but they speak not;

Eyes have they, but they see not;

Psalm 115:1–5 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy loving-kindness and for thy truth’s sake. Wherefore should the nations say, Where then is their God? But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he pleased. Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands: They have a mouth, and they speak not; eyes have they, and they see not;

Psalm 115:1–5 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

Don’t give glory to us, O Lord

Don’t give glory to us.

Instead, give glory to your name

because of your mercy and faithfulness.

Why should other nations say, “Where is their God?”

Our God is in heaven.

He does whatever he wants.

Their idols are made of silver and gold.

They were made by human hands.

They have mouths, but they cannot speak.

They have eyes, but they cannot see.

Psalm 115:1–5 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Not to us, Yahweh, not to us,

but to Your name give glory

because of Your faithful love, because of Your truth.

Their idols are silver and gold,

made by human hands.

They have mouths but cannot speak,

eyes, but cannot see.

the work of human hands.

They have mouths, but do not speak;

eyes, but do not see.

Psalm 115:1–5 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

Not to us, O Yahweh, not to us,

but to your name give glory,

because of your loyal love,

because of your faithfulness.

Why should the nations say,

“Where, pray tell, is their God?”

all that he desires, he does.

Their idols are silver and gold,

the work of human hands.

They have mouths, but cannot speak;

they have eyes, but cannot see;

Psalm 115:1–5 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

Lord, may glory be given to you, not to us.

You are loving and faithful.

Why do the nations ask,

“Where is their God?”

Our God is in heaven.

He does anything he wants to do.

But the statues of their gods are made out of silver and gold.

They are made by the hands of men.

They have mouths, but they can’t speak.

They have eyes, but they can’t see.

Psalm 115:1–5 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

Not to us, O Lord, not to us,

But to Your name give glory

Where, now, is their God?”

Their idols are silver and gold,

The work of man’s hands.

They have mouths, but they cannot speak;

They have eyes, but they cannot see;
