aBut in the last days it shall come to pass,

That the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains,

And it shall be exalted above the hills;

And people shall flow unto it.

And many nations shall come, and say,

Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,

And to the house of the God of Jacob;

And he will teach us of his ways,

And we will walk in his paths:

For the law shall go forth of Zion,

And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

And bhe shall judge among many people,

And rebuke cstrong nations afar off;

And they shall beat their swords into plowshares,

And their spears into ||pruninghooks:

Nation shall not lift up a sword against nation,

Neither shall they learn war any more.

dBut they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree;

eAnd none shall make them afraid:

fFor the mouth of the Lord of hosts hath spoken it.

For gall people will walk every one in the name of his god,

And hwe will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.

iIn that day, saith the Lord, kwill I assemble lmher that halteth,

And klI will gather nher that is driven out,

And her that I have afflicted;

And I will make lmher that halted oa remnant,

And her that was cast far off ca strong nation:

And prthe Lord shall reign over them qin mount Zion

rFrom henceforth, even for ever.

And thou, O tower of ||sthe flock,

tThe strong hold of the daughter of Zion,

Unto thee shall it come, even uthe first dominion;

The kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.

Now why dost thou cry out valoud?

wIs there no king in thee?

xIs thy counseller perished?

For ypangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.

10  zBe in pain, and alabour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, ylike a woman in travail:

For now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field,

And bthou shalt go even to Babylon; cthere shalt thou be delivered;

cThere the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

11  Now also ccmany nations are gathered against thee,

That say, dLet her be defiled, and elet our eye look upon Zion.

12  But fthey know not the thoughts of the Lord,

Neither understand they his counsel:

For ghe shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.

13  Arise and hithresh, O daughter of Zion:

For I will make jthine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass:

And thou shalt ikbeat in pieces many people:

And I will lconsecrate mtheir gain unto the Lord,

And ntheir substance unto othe Lord of the whole earth.

5 Now agather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops:

He hath laid bsiege against us:

cThey shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod cupon the cheek.

dBut thou, eBeth-lehem Ephratah,

Though thou be little among fthe thousands of gJudah,

Yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be hruler in Israel;

Whose igoings forth have been kfrom of old, kfrom everlasting.

Therefore will he give them up,

Until the time that lshe which travaileth hath brought forth:

Then mthe remnant of his brethren nshall return unto the children of Israel.

And khe shall stand and ||ofeed in the strength of the Lord,

In the majesty of the name of the Lord his God;

And they shall abide:

For now pqshall he be great unto rthe ends of the earth.

And psthis man shall be the peace,

tWhen the Assyrian shall come into our land:

And when he shall tread in our palaces,

Then shall uwe raise against him vseven wxshepherds,

And veight wprincipal men.

And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword,

And the land of zNimrod ||in the entrances thereof:

Thus ashall he deliver us from the Assyrian,

bWhen he cometh into our land,

bAnd when he treadeth within our borders.

And cthe remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people

deAs a dew from the Lord,

dfAs the showers upon the grass,

That tarrieth not for man,

Nor waiteth for the sons of men.

And cthe remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people

gAs a lion among the beasts of the forest,

gAs a young lion among the flocks of ||sheep:

Who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces,

hAnd none can deliver.

iThine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries,

And all thine enemies shall be cut off.

10  And it shall come to pass kin that day, saith the Lord,

lThat I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee,

And I will destroy lthy chariots:

11  And mI will cut off the cities of thy land,

And mthrow down all thy strong holds:

12  And I will cut off nwitchcrafts out of thine hand;

And thou shalt have no more osoothsayers:

13  Thy graven images also pwill I cut off,

And thy ||qstanding images out of the midst of thee;

And rthou shalt no more sworship the work of thine hands.

14  And I will pluck up thy tgroves out of the midst of thee:

mSo will I destroy thy ||ucities.

15  And vI will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen,

Such as they have not heard.

6 aHear ye now what the Lord saith;

Arise, contend thou ||before the mountains,

And let the hills hear thy voice.

abHear ye, O mountains, cthe Lord’s controversy,

And ye strong foundations of the earth:

For cthe Lord hath a controversy with his people,

And he will plead with Israel.

O my people, dwhat have I done unto thee?

And ewherein have I wearied thee?

Testify against me.

For fI brought thee up out of the land of Egypt,

And ghredeemed thee fhout of the house of servants;

And I sent before thee Moses, Aaron, and iMiriam.

O my people, remember now kwhat Balak king of Moab consulted,

And what Balaam the son of Beor answered him

From lShittim unto mGilgal;

That ye may know nthe righteousness of the Lord.

oWherewith shall I pcome before the Lord,

And qbow myself before the rhigh God?

Shall I come before him with burnt offerings,

With calves of a year old?

sWill the Lord be pleased with thousands of rams,

Or with ten thousands of trivers of oil?

uShall I give my firstborn for my transgression,

The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

sHe hath shewed thee, vO man, what is good;

And wwhat doth the Lord require of thee,

But xto do yjustly, and to love ymercy,

And to walk humbly awith thy God?

The Lord’s voice crieth unto the city,

And ||the man of bwisdom shall see cthy name:

Hear ye dthe rod, and who ehath appointed it.

10  ||Are there yet the treasures of wickedness in the house of the wicked,

And the hscant measure that is iabominable?

11  ||Shall I count them pure with the wicked kbalances,

And with lthe bag of kdeceitful weights?

12  For the rich men thereof mare full of violence,

And the inhabitants thereof nhave spoken lies,

And otheir tongue is pdeceitful in their mouth.

13  Therefore also will I qmake thee sick in smiting thee,

In making thee desolate because of thy sins.

14  rThou shalt eat, but not be satisfied;

And thy casting down shall be in the midst of thee;

And thou shalt stake hold, tbut shalt not deliver;

And tthat which thou deliverest will I give up to the sword.

15  uThou shalt vsow, but thou shalt not reap;

uThou shalt tread the olives, but thou shalt not wanoint thee with oil;

uxAnd ysweet wine, but shalt not drink wine.

16  For ||the statutes of zOmri are kept,

And all the works of the house of aAhab,

And ye walk in their counsels;

That I should make thee ba ||desolation,

And the inhabitants thereof can hissing:

Therefore ye shall bear dthe reproach of my people.

7 aWoe is me! for I am as when they have gathered cthe summer fruits,

As dthe grapegleanings of the vintage:

There is no ecluster to eat:

My soul desired fthe firstripe fruit.

gThe ||hgood man is perished out of the earth:

And ithere is none upright among men:

They all jlie in wait for blood;

kThey hunt levery man his brother mwith a net.

That they may do evil with both hands earnestly,

nThe prince asketh, and nothe judge asketh for a reward;

And the great man, he uttereth his mischievous desire:

So they qwrap it up.

The best of them is as ra brier:

The most upright is sharper than rsa thorn hedge:

The day of thy twatchmen and uthy visitation cometh;

Now shall be their vperplexity.

wTrust ye not in a friend,

Put ye not confidence in a xguide:

Keep ythe doors of thy mouth from her that lieth in thy bosom.

For zabthe son cdishonoureth the father,

zThe daughter riseth up against her mother,

zThe daughter in law against her mother in law;

bdA man’s enemies are the men of his own house.

Therefore I will elook unto the Lord;

I will fwait for the God of my salvation:

gMy God will hear me.

hiRejoice not against me, O mine renemy:

hkWhen I fall, I shall arise;

lWhen I sit in darkness, mthe Lord shall be a light unto me.

nI will bear the indignation of the Lord, obecause I have sinned against him,

Until he pplead my cause, and execute judgment for me:

qHe will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness.

10  ||Then rshe that is mine enemy shall see it, and sshame shall cover her

Which said unto me, tWhere is the Lord thy God?

uMine eyes shall behold her:

Now shall she be trodden down vas the mire of the streets.

11  wIn the day that xthy ywalls are to be built,

In that day shall zthe decree be far removed.

12  wIn that day also he shall come even to thee

aFrom Assyria, ||and afrom bthe fortified cities,

And from bthe fortress even to cthe river,

And from dsea to sea, and from mountain to mountain.

13  ||Notwithstanding the land eshall be desolate because of them that dwell therein,

fFor gthe fruit of their doings.

14  ||Feed thy people with thy rod, hthe flock of thine heritage,

iWhich dwell solitarily in kthe wood, in the midst of lmCarmel:

Let them feed in lnBashan and loGilead, as in oothe days of old.

15  pAccording to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt

pWill I shew unto him marvellous things.

16  The nations qshall see and be confounded at all their might:

They shall rlay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf.

17  sThey shall lick the dust tlike a serpent,

They shall move out of utheir holes like ||vworms of the earth:

wThey shall be afraid of the Lord our God,

And shall fear because of thee.

18  xWho is a God like unto thee, ythat pardoneth iniquity,

And zapasseth by the transgression of abthe remnant of his heritage?

cHe retaineth not his anger for ever,

Because d
