Jeremiah 30:12–15 — The New International Version (NIV)

12 “This is what the Lord says:

“ ‘Your wound is incurable,

your injury beyond healing.

13 There is no one to plead your cause,

no remedy for your sore,

no healing for you.

14 All your allies have forgotten you;

they care nothing for you.

I have struck you as an enemy would

and punished you as would the cruel,

because your guilt is so great

and your sins so many.

15 Why do you cry out over your wound,

your pain that has no cure?

Because of your great guilt and many sins

I have done these things to you.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — English Standard Version (ESV)

12 “For thus says the Lord:

Your hurt is incurable,

and your wound is grievous.

13 There is none to uphold your cause,

no medicine for your wound,

no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you;

they care nothing for you;

for I have dealt you the blow of an enemy,

the punishment of a merciless foe,

because your guilt is great,

because your sins are flagrant.

15 Why do you cry out over your hurt?

Your pain is incurable.

Because your guilt is great,

because your sins are flagrant,

I have done these things to you.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — New Living Translation (NLT)

12 This is what the Lord says:

“Your injury is incurable—

a terrible wound.

13 There is no one to help you

or to bind up your injury.

No medicine can heal you.

14 All your lovers—your allies—have left you

and do not care about you anymore.

I have wounded you cruelly,

as though I were your enemy.

For your sins are many,

and your guilt is great.

15 Why do you protest your punishment—

this wound that has no cure?

I have had to punish you

because your sins are many

and your guilt is great.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

12 “For thus says the Lord:

‘Your affliction is incurable,

Your wound is severe.

13 There is no one to plead your cause,

That you may be bound up;

You have no healing medicines.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you;

They do not seek you;

For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy,

With the chastisement of a cruel one,

For the multitude of your iniquities,

Because your sins have increased.

15 Why do you cry about your affliction?

Your sorrow is incurable.

Because of the multitude of your iniquities,

Because your sins have increased,

I have done these things to you.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — New Century Version (NCV)

12 This is what the Lord said:

“You people have a wound that cannot be cured;

your injury will not heal.

13 There is no one to argue your case

and no cure for your sores.

So you will not be healed.

14 All those nations who were your friends have forgotten you.

They don’t care about you.

I have hurt you as an enemy would.

I punished you very hard,

because your guilt was so great

and your sins were so many.

15 Why are you crying out about your injury?

There is no cure for your pain.

I did these things to you because of your great guilt,

because of your many sins.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — American Standard Version (ASV)

12 For thus saith Jehovah, Thy hurt is incurable, and thy wound grievous. 13 There is none to plead thy cause, that thou mayest be bound up: thou hast no healing medicines. 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not: for I have wounded thee with the wound of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased. 15 Why criest thou for thy hurt? thy pain is incurable: for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins were increased, I have done these things unto thee.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

12 For thus saith Jehovah: Thy bruise is incurable, thy wound is grievous. 13 There is none to plead thy cause, to bind up thy wound; thou hast no healing medicines. 14 All thy lovers have forgotten thee; they seek thee not. For I have smitten thee with the stroke of an enemy, with the chastisement of a cruel one, for the greatness of thine iniquity: thy sins are manifold. 15 Why criest thou because of thy bruise? thy sorrow is incurable; for the greatness of thine iniquity, because thy sins are manifold, I have done these things unto thee.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

12 “This is what the Lord says:

Your wound is incurable.

Your injury is beyond healing.

13 No one argues that you should be healed.

No medicine will heal you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you,

and they don’t want you anymore.

I’ve punished you as an enemy would.

I’ve corrected you as a cruel person would.

You are very wicked, and you have many sins.

15 Why do you cry about your wound, your injury that can’t be cured?

I’ve done this to you.

You are very wicked, and you have many sins.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

12 For this is what the Lord says:

Your injury is incurable;

your wound most severe.

13 No one takes up the case for your sores.

There is no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you;

they no longer look for you,

for I have struck you as an enemy would,

with the discipline of someone cruel,

because of your enormous guilt

and your innumerable sins.

15 Why do you cry out about your injury?

Your pain has no cure!

I have done these things to you

because of your enormous guilt

and your innumerable sins.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

12 For thus says the Lord:

Your hurt is incurable,

your wound is grievous.

13 There is no one to uphold your cause,

no medicine for your wound,

no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you;

they care nothing for you;

for I have dealt you the blow of an enemy,

the punishment of a merciless foe,

because your guilt is great,

because your sins are so numerous.

15 Why do you cry out over your hurt?

Your pain is incurable.

Because your guilt is great,

because your sins are so numerous,

I have done these things to you.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

12 For thus says Yahweh,

‘Your injury is incurable,

your wound is overcome by sickness.

13 There is no one who pleads your cause,

for your boil there is no healing for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you,

they do not care for you.

I have struck you with the blow of an enemy,

the punishment of the cruel,

because of the greatness of your guilt,

your sins are numerous.

15 Why do you cry because of your wound?

Your pain is incurable.

Because of the greatness of your guilt—your sins are vast—

I have done these things to you.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

12 The Lord says,

“Your wound can’t be cured.

Your pain can’t be healed.

13 No one will stand up for you.

There isn’t any medicine for your sore.

There isn’t any healing for you.

14 All those who were going to help you have forgotten you.

They do not care about you.

I have struck you as if I were your enemy.

I have punished you as if I were very mean.

That is because your guilt is so great.

You have sinned so much.

15 Why do you cry out about your wound?

Your pain can’t be healed.

Your guilt is very great.

And you have committed many sins.

That is why I have done all of those things to you.

Jeremiah 30:12–15 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)

12 “For thus says the Lord,

‘Your wound is incurable

And your injury is serious.

13 There is no one to plead your cause;

No healing for your sore,

No recovery for you.

14 All your lovers have forgotten you,

They do not seek you;

For I have wounded you with the wound of an enemy,

With the punishment of a cruel one,

Because your iniquity is great

And your sins are numerous.

15 Why do you cry out over your injury?

Your pain is incurable.

Because your iniquity is great

And your sins are numerous,

I have done these things to you.
