Jeremiah 33:3–5
3 dCall unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and ||mighty things, ewhich thou knowest not. 4 For thus saith the Lord, the God of Israel, concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the houses of the kings of Judah, which are thrown down by fthe mounts, and by the sword; 5 gThey come to fight with the Chaldeans, but it is to fill them with the dead bodies of men, whom I have slain hin mine anger and in my fury, and for all whose wickedness iI have hid my face from this city.

3 ‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ 4 For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says about the houses in this city and the royal palaces of Judah that have been torn down to be used against the siege ramps and the sword 5 in the fight with the Babylonians: ‘They will be filled with the dead bodies of the people I will slay in my anger and wrath. They will be the bodies of the men I will kill when my anger burns against them. I will hide my face from this city. That is because its people have committed so many sins.
