Hebrews 3:2–3 — The New International Version (NIV)
2 He was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. 3 Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has greater honor than the house itself.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — English Standard Version (ESV)
2 who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God’s house. 3 For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — New Living Translation (NLT)
2 For he was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God’s entire house.
3 But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — The New King James Version (NKJV)
2 who was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was faithful in all His house. 3 For this One has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as He who built the house has more honor than the house.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — New Century Version (NCV)
2 Jesus was faithful to God as Moses was in God’s family. 3 Jesus has more honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — American Standard Version (ASV)
2 who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house. 3 For he hath been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by so much as he that built the house hath more honor than the house.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)
2 who is faithful to him that has constituted him, as Moses also in all his house. 3 For he has been counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by how much he that has built it has more honour than the house.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)
2 Jesus is faithful to God, who appointed him, in the same way that Moses was faithful when he served in God’s house. 3 Jesus deserves more praise than Moses in the same way that the builder of a house is praised more than the house.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
2 He was faithful to the One who appointed Him, just as Moses was in all God’s household. 3 For Jesus is considered worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder has more honor than the house.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
2 was faithful to the one who appointed him, just as Moses also “was faithful in all God’s house.” 3 Yet Jesus is worthy of more glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)
2 who was faithful to the one who appointed him, as Moses also was in his household. 3 For this one is considered worthy of greater glory than Moses, inasmuch as the one who builds it has greater honor than the house.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)
2 Moses was faithful in everything he did in the house of God. In the same way, Jesus was faithful to the One who appointed him.
3 The person who builds a house has greater honor than the house itself. In the same way, Jesus has been found worthy of greater honor than Moses.
Hebrews 3:2–3 — New American Standard Bible: 1995 Update (NASB95)
2 He was faithful to Him who appointed Him, as Moses also was in all His house.
3 For He has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, by just so much as the builder of the house has more honor than the house.
