Genesis 9:3–5 — New Century Version (NCV)

I will demand the life of any animal that kills a person, and I will demand the life of anyone who takes another person’s life.

Genesis 9:3–5 — American Standard Version (ASV)

Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you; as the green herb have I given you all. But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. Genesis 9:3–5 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you: as the green herb I give you everything. Only, the flesh with its life, its blood, ye shall not eat.
