Acts 2:39–42

39 For the promise is unto you, and hto your children, and to all that are iafar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. 40 And with many other words did he jtestify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this kuntoward generation.

41 Then they that gladly lreceived his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them mabout three thousand nsouls. 42 And they ocontinued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in ybreaking of bread, and in prayers.

40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” 41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.
