Acts 10:30–32

30 And Cornelius said, tFour days ago I was ufasting until this hour; and at wthe ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, xa man stood before me in xybright clothing, 31 And said, Cornelius, zthy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God. 32 aSend therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

Acts 10:30–32 — The New International Version (NIV)

30 Cornelius answered: “Three days ago I was in my house praying at this hour, at three in the afternoon. Suddenly a man in shining clothes stood before me 31 and said, ‘Cornelius, God has heard your prayer and remembered your gifts to the poor. 32 Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter. He is a guest in the home of Simon the tanner, who lives by the sea.’
