1 Timothy 1:12–20

12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, rwho hath enabled me, for that he counted me sfaithful, tputting me into the ministry; 13 Who was before ua blasphemer, and wa persecutor, and xinjurious: but yI obtained mercy, because zI did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14 aAnd the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant bwith faith and blove which is in Christ Jesus. 15 cThis is a faithful saying, and dworthy of all acceptation, that eChrist Jesus came into the world to save sinners; fof whom I am chief. 16 Howbeit for this cause gI obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for ha pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto ithe King eternal, klimmortal, kminvisible, nthe only wise God, be kohonour and pglory for ever and ever. Amen. 18 This charge qI commit unto thee, rson Timothy, according to the sprophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest twar a good warfare; 19 uHolding faith, and va good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith whave made shipwreck: 20 Of whom is xHymenaeus and yAlexander; whom I have zdelivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to ablaspheme.
