Luke 7:26–28

26 What then did you go out to see? A prophet? y Yes, I tell you, and far more than a prophet. 27 This is the one it is written about:

Look, I am sending My messenger

ahead of You; z

he will prepare Your way before You. a b

28 I tell you, among those born of women no one is greater than John, c but the least in the kingdom of God is greater than he.”

“ ‘I will send my messenger ahead of you,

who will prepare your way before you.’
