Zechariah 9:13–14

13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow

and fill it with Ephraim.

I will rouse your sons, Zion,

against your sons, Greece,

and make you like a warrior’s sword.

14 Then the Lord will appear over them;

his arrow will flash like lightning.

The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet;

he will march in the storms of the south,

13 When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim,

And raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece,

And made thee as the sword of a mighty man.

14 And the Lord shall be seen over them,

And his arrow shall go forth as the lightning:

And the Lord God shall blow the trumpet,

And shall go with whirlwinds of the south.

13 Judah is my bow,

and Israel is my arrow.

Jerusalem is my sword,

and like a warrior, I will brandish it against the Greeks.

14 The Lord will appear above his people;

his arrows will fly like lightning!

The Sovereign Lord will sound the ram’s horn

and attack like a whirlwind from the southern desert.

13 For I have bent Judah, My bow,

Fitted the bow with Ephraim,

And raised up your sons, O Zion,

Against your sons, O Greece,

And made you like the sword of a mighty man.”

14 Then the Lord will be seen over them,

And His arrow will go forth like lightning.

The Lord God will blow the trumpet,

And go with whirlwinds from the south.

13 I will use Judah like a bow

and Ephraim like the arrows.

Jerusalem, I will use your men

to fight the men of Greece.

I will use you like a warrior’s sword.

14 Then the Lord will appear above them,

and his arrows will shoot like lightning.

The Lord God will blow the trumpet,

and he will march in the storms of the south.

13 For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will stir up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and will make thee as the sword of a mighty man. 14 And Jehovah shall be seen over them; and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and the Lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet, and will go with whirlwinds of the south.

13 For I have bent Judah for me, I have filled the bow with Ephraim; and I will raise up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and make thee like the sword of a mighty man. 14 And Jehovah shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and the Lord Jehovah will blow the trumpet, and will march with whirlwinds of the south.

13 I will bend Judah as my bow 

and draw my bow with Ephraim ⸤as its arrow⸥. 

I will stir up your people, Zion, against your people, Greece, 

and I will use you like a warrior’s sword. 

14 The Lord will appear over them, 

and his arrow will go out like lightning. 

The Almighty Lord will blow the ram’s horn 

and will march in the storms from the south. 

13 For I will bend Judah as My bow;

I will fill that bow with Ephraim.

I will rouse your sons, Zion,

against your sons, Greece.

I will make you like a warrior’s sword.

14 Then the Lord will appear over them,

and His arrow will fly like lightning.

The Lord God will sound the trumpet

and advance with the southern storms.

13 For I have bent Judah as my bow;

I have made Ephraim its arrow.

I will arouse your sons, O Zion,

against your sons, O Greece,

and wield you like a warrior’s sword.

14 Then the Lord will appear over them,

and his arrow go forth like lightning;

the Lord God will sound the trumpet

and march forth in the whirlwinds of the south.

13 For I have bent Judah as my bow;

I have set Ephraim as an arrow.

I will set in motion your sons, O Zion,

against your sons, O Javan.

I will wield you like the sword of a warrior.

14 Then Yahweh will appear over them,

and his arrow will go forth like lightning;

and my Lord Yahweh will blow the trumpet,

and he shall go out in the storm winds of the south.

13 I will bend Judah as I bend my bow.

I will make Ephraim’s people my arrows.

Zion, I will stir up your sons.

Greece, they will attack your sons.

My people, I will use you as my sword.”

14 Then the Lord will appear over his people.

His arrows will flash like lightning.

The Lord and King will blow the trumpet of his thunder.

He’ll march out like a storm in the south.

13 For I will bend Judah as My bow,

I will fill the bow with Ephraim.

And I will stir up your sons, O Zion, against your sons, O Greece;

And I will make you like a warrior’s sword.

14 Then the Lord will appear over them,

And His arrow will go forth like lightning;

And the Lord God will blow the trumpet,

And will march in the storm winds of the south.
