Zechariah 10:5–7

5 Together they will be like warriors in battle

trampling their enemy into the mud of the streets.

They will fight because the Lord is with them,

and they will put the enemy horsemen to shame.

6 “I will strengthen Judah

and save the tribes of Joseph.

I will restore them

because I have compassion on them.

They will be as though

I had not rejected them,

for I am the Lord their God

and I will answer them.

7 The Ephraimites will become like warriors,

and their hearts will be glad as with wine.

Their children will see it and be joyful;

their hearts will rejoice in the Lord.

5 And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies

In the mire of the streets in the battle:

And they shall fight, because the Lord is with them,

And the riders on horses shall be confounded.

6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah,

And I will save the house of Joseph,

And I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them:

And they shall be as though I had not cast them off:

For I am the Lord their God, and will hear them.

7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man,

And their heart shall rejoice as through wine:

Yea, their children shall see it, and be glad;

Their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.

5 They will be like mighty warriors in battle,

trampling their enemies in the mud under their feet.

Since the Lord is with them as they fight,

they will overthrow even the enemy’s horsemen.

6 “I will strengthen Judah and save Israel;

I will restore them because of my compassion.

It will be as though I had never rejected them,

for I am the Lord their God, who will hear their cries.

7 The people of Israel will become like mighty warriors,

and their hearts will be made happy as if by wine.

Their children, too, will see it and be glad;

their hearts will rejoice in the Lord.

5 They shall be like mighty men,

Who tread down their enemies

In the mire of the streets in the battle.

They shall fight because the Lord is with them,

And the riders on horses shall be put to shame.

6 “I will strengthen the house of Judah,

And I will save the house of Joseph.

I will bring them back,

Because I have mercy on them.

They shall be as though I had not cast them aside;

For I am the Lord their God,

And I will hear them.

7 Those of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man,

And their heart shall rejoice as if with wine.

Yes, their children shall see it and be glad;

Their heart shall rejoice in the Lord.

5 Together they will be like soldiers

marching to battle through muddy streets.

The Lord is with them,

so they will fight and defeat the horsemen.

6 “I will strengthen the people of Judah

and save the people of Joseph.

I will bring them back,

because I care about them.

It will be as though

I had never left them,

because I am the Lord their God,

and I will answer them.

7 The people of Ephraim will be strong like soldiers;

they will be glad as when they have drunk wine.

Their children will see it and rejoice;

they will be happy in the Lord.

5 And they shall be as mighty men, treading down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle; and they shall fight, because Jehovah is with them; and the riders on horses shall be confounded. 6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back; for I have mercy upon them; and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am Jehovah their God, and I will hear them. 7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine; yea, their children shall see it, and rejoice; their heart shall be glad in Jehovah.

5 And they shall be as mighty men, treading down the mire of the streets in the battle; and they shall fight, for Jehovah is with them, and the riders on horses shall be put to shame. 6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them back again; for I will have mercy upon them; and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am Jehovah their God, and I will answer them. 7 And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their hearts shall rejoice as through wine; and their children shall see it, and rejoice; their heart shall be joyful in Jehovah.

They will put to shame those who ride on horses. 

6 “I will strengthen the people of Judah. 

I will rescue Joseph’s people. 

I will bring them back, because I have compassion for them. 

It will be as though I had never rejected them, 

because I am the Lord their God, and I will answer them. 

7 The people of Ephraim will be like mighty warriors. 

Their hearts will be glad as if they had some wine ⸤to drink⸥. 

Their sons will see it and be glad. 

Their hearts will find joy in the Lord.

and I will answer them.

7 Ephraim will be like a warrior,

and their hearts will be glad as if with wine.

Their children will see it and be glad;

their hearts will rejoice in Yahweh.

and they shall put to shame the riders on horses.

and I will save the house of Joseph.

for I am the Lord their God, and I will answer them.

7 Then the people of Ephraim shall become like warriors,

and their hearts shall be glad as with wine.

Their children shall see it and rejoice;

their hearts shall exult in the Lord.

5 And they will be like warriors,

trampling in the mud of the streets in the battle.

They will fight, because Yahweh is with them,

and they will put to shame the riders on horses.

6 And I will strengthen the house of Judah,

and the house of Joseph I will save.

And I will bring them back, because I have compassion on them,

and they will be as if I had not rejected them,

for I am Yahweh their God, and I will answer them.

7 And the people of Ephraim will be like a warrior,

and their heart will be glad as with wine.

And their children will see and rejoice;

their heart will shout in exultation in Yahweh.

5 Together they will be like soldiers in battle.

They will fight their way

through the muddy streets.

I will be with them.

So they will fight against the horsemen

and destroy them.

6 “I will make the family of Judah strong.

I will save the people of Joseph.

I will bring them back

because I have tender love for them.

It will be as if

I had not sent them away.

I am the Lord their God.

I will help them.

7 The people of Ephraim will become like mighty men.

Their hearts will be glad

as if they were drinking wine.

Their children will see it

and be filled with joy.

I will make their hearts glad.

5 “They will be as mighty men,

And they will fight, for the Lord will be with them;

And the riders on horses will be put to shame.

And I will save the house of Joseph,

And I will bring them back,

Because I have had compassion on them;

For I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.

7 “Ephraim will be like a mighty man,

And their heart will be glad as if from wine;

Indeed, their children will see it and be glad,

Their heart will rejoice in the Lord.
