9 Has God forgotten to be merciful?

Has he in anger withheld his compassion?”

10 Then I thought, “To this I will appeal:

the years when the Most High stretched out his right hand.

9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious? Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah. 10 And I said, This is my infirmity: But I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High.

9 Has God forgotten to be gracious?

Has he slammed the door on his compassion?

10 And I said, “This is my fate;

the Most High has turned his hand against me.”

9 Has God forgotten to be gracious?

Has He in anger shut up His tender mercies?

10 And I said, “This is my anguish;

But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.”

9 Has God forgotten mercy?

Is he too angry to pity us?”

10 Then I say “This is what makes me sad:

For years the power of God Most High was with us.”

9 Hath God forgotten to be gracious?

Hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? Selah

10 And I said, This is my infirmity;

But I will remember the years of the right hand of the Most High.

9 Has God forgotten to be merciful? 

Has he locked up his compassion because of his anger? Selah 

10 Then I said, “It makes me feel sick 

that the power of the Most High is no longer the same.” 

9 Has God forgotten to be gracious?

Has He in anger withheld His compassion?” Selah

10 So I say, “I am grieved

that the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

9 Has God forgotten to be gracious?

Has he in anger shut up his compassion?” Selah

10 And I say, “It is my grief

that the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

9 Has God forgotten to have compassion?

Or has he closed off his mercies in anger? Selah

10 So I said, “This pierces me—

the right hand of the Most High has changed.”

9 Has God forgotten to show us his favor?

Has he held back his tender love because he was angry?” Selah

10 Then I thought, “Here is what I will make my appeal to.

For many years the Most High God showed how powerful his right hand is.”

9 Has God forgotten to be gracious,

Or has He in anger withdrawn His compassion?

Selah.

10 Then I said, “It is my grief,

That the right hand of the Most High has changed.”
