157 Many are the foes who persecute me,

but I have not turned from your statutes.

158 I look on the faithless with loathing,

for they do not obey your word.

157 Many are my persecutors and mine enemies; Yet do I not decline from thy testimonies. 158 I beheld the transgressors, and was grieved; Because they kept not thy word.

157 Many persecute and trouble me,

yet I have not swerved from your laws.

158 Seeing these traitors makes me sick at heart,

because they care nothing for your word.

157 Many are my persecutors and my enemies,

Yet I do not turn from Your testimonies.

158 I see the treacherous, and am disgusted,

Because they do not keep Your word.

157 Many enemies are after me,

but I have not rejected your rules.

158 I see those traitors, and I hate them,

because they do not obey what you say.

157 Many are my persecutors and mine adversaries;

Yet have I not swerved from thy testimonies.

158 I beheld the treacherous, and was grieved,

Because they observe not thy word.

157 Many are my persecutors and mine oppressors; I have not declined from thy testimonies.

158 I beheld them that deal treacherously, and was grieved; because they kept not thy •word.

157 I have many persecutors and opponents, 

⸤yet⸥ I have not turned away from your written instructions. 

158 I have seen traitors, 

and I am filled with disgust. 

They have not accepted your promise.

158 I have seen the disloyal and feel disgust

because they do not keep Your word.

157 Many are my persecutors and my adversaries,

yet I do not swerve from your decrees.

158 I look at the faithless with disgust,

because they do not keep your commands.

157 My persecutors and enemies are many,

yet I do not turn aside from your testimonies.

158 I see the treacherous and I feel disgust,

because they do not heed your word.

157 Many enemies attack me.

But I haven’t turned away from your covenant laws.

158 I get very angry when I see people who aren’t faithful to you.

They don’t obey your word.

157 Many are my persecutors and my adversaries,

Yet I do not turn aside from Your testimonies.

158 I behold the treacherous and loathe them,

Because they do not keep Your word.
