So the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Proverbs 27:18–20 — New Living Translation (NLT)

18 As workers who tend a fig tree are allowed to eat the fruit,

so workers who protect their employer’s interests will be rewarded.

19 As a face is reflected in water,

so the heart reflects the real person.

20 Just as Death and Destruction are never satisfied,

so human desire is never satisfied.

Proverbs 27:18–20 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

So the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Proverbs 27:18–20 — New Century Version (NCV)

and they will never stop wanting more than they have.

Proverbs 27:18–20 — American Standard Version (ASV)

And the eyes of man are never satisfied.

Proverbs 27:18–20 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

18 Whoever takes care of a fig tree can eat its fruit,
