Matthew 8:21–23

21 Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

23 Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him.

21 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

21 Another of his disciples said, “Lord, first let me return home and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me now. Let the spiritually dead bury their own dead.”

23 Then Jesus got into the boat and started across the lake with his disciples.

21 Then another of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

23 Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.

21 Another man, one of Jesus’ followers, said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the people who are dead bury their own dead.”

23 Jesus got into a boat, and his followers went with him.

21 And another of the disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 But Jesus saith unto him, Follow me; and leave the dead to bury their own dead.

23 And when he was entered into a boat, his disciples followed him.

21 But another of his disciples said to him, Lord, suffer me first to go away and bury my father. 22 But Jesus said to him, Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead.

23 And he went on board ship and his disciples followed him;

21 Another disciple said to him, “Sir, first let me go to bury my father.” 

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.” 

23 Jesus’ disciples went with him as he left in a boat.

21 “Lord,” another of His disciples said, “first let me go bury my father.”

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow Me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

23 As He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him.

21 Another of his disciples said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” 22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”

23 And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him.

21 And another of the disciples said to him, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.” 22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and leave the dead to bury their own dead!”

23 And as he got into the boat, his disciples followed him.

21 Another follower said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus told him, “Follow me. Let the dead bury their own dead.”

23 Jesus got into a boat. His disciples followed him.

21 Another of the disciples said to Him, “Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father.”

22 But Jesus said to him, “Follow Me, and allow the dead to bury their own dead.”

23 When He got into the boat, His disciples followed Him.
