Leviticus 15:4–9

4 “ ‘Any bed the man with a discharge lies on will be unclean, and anything he sits on will be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening. 6 Whoever sits on anything that the man with a discharge sat on must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

7 “ ‘Whoever touches the man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

8 “ ‘If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, they must wash their clothes and bathe with water, and they will be unclean till evening.

9 “ ‘Everything the man sits on when riding will be unclean,

4 Every bed, whereon he lieth that hath the issue, is unclean: and every thing, whereon he sitteth, shall be unclean. 5 And whosoever toucheth his bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. 6 And he that sitteth on any thing whereon he sat that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. 7 And he that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the issue shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. 8 And if he that hath the issue spit upon him that is clean; then he shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even. 9 And what saddle soever he rideth upon that hath the issue shall be unclean.

4 Any bed on which the man with the discharge lies and anything on which he sits will be ceremonially unclean. 5 So if you touch the man’s bed, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening. 6 If you sit where the man with the discharge has sat, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening. 7 If you touch the man with the discharge, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening. 8 If the man spits on you, you must wash your clothes and bathe yourself in water, and you will remain unclean until evening. 9 Any saddle blanket on which the man rides will be ceremonially unclean.

4 Every bed is unclean on which he who has the discharge lies, and everything on which he sits shall be unclean. 5 And whoever touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 6 He who sits on anything on which he who has the discharge sat shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 7 And he who touches the body of him who has the discharge shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 8 If he who has the discharge spits on him who is clean, then he shall wash his clothes and bathe in water, and be unclean until evening. 9 Any saddle on which he who has the discharge rides shall be unclean.

4 “ ‘If the person who discharges the body fluid lies on a bed, that bed becomes unclean, and everything he sits on becomes unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed must wash his clothes and bathe in water, and the person will be unclean until evening. 6 Whoever sits on something that the person who discharges the fluid sat on must wash his clothes and bathe in water; he will be unclean until evening. 7 Anyone who touches the person who discharges the body fluid must wash his clothes and bathe in water; he will be unclean until evening.

8 “ ‘If the person who discharges the body fluid spits on someone who is clean, that person must wash his clothes and bathe in water; he will be unclean until evening. 9 Everything on which the person who is unclean sits when riding will become unclean.

4 Every bed whereon he lieth that hath the flux shall be unclean; and every object on which he sitteth shall be unclean. 5 And whoever toucheth his bed shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even. 6 And he that sitteth on any object whereon he sat that hath the flux shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even. 7 And he that toucheth the flesh of him that hath the flux shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even. 8 And if he that hath the flux spit upon him that is clean, then he shall wash his garments, and bathe in water, and be unclean until the even. 9 And what carriage soever he rideth upon that hath the flux shall be unclean.

4 “The man who has a discharge makes everything he lies on or sits on unclean. 5 Those who touch his bed must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. 6 Those who sit on anything he sat on must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. 7 Those who touch a man who has a discharge must wash their clothes and their bodies. They will be unclean until evening. 8 If a man who has a discharge spits on anyone who is clean, the person he spits on must wash his clothes and his body. He will be unclean until evening. 9 When a man who has a discharge sits on a saddle, it becomes unclean.

4 Any bed the man with the discharge lies on will be unclean, and any furniture he sits on will be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening. 6 Whoever sits on furniture that the man with the discharge was sitting on is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening. 7 Whoever touches the body of the man with a discharge is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening. 8 If the man with the discharge spits on anyone who is clean, he is to wash his clothes and bathe with water, and he will remain unclean until evening. 9 Any saddle the man with the discharge rides on will be unclean.

4 Every bed on which the one with the discharge lies shall be unclean, and everything on which he sits shall be unclean. 5 Anyone who touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening. 6 All who sit on anything on which the one with the discharge has sat shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening. 7 All who touch the body of the one with the discharge shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening. 8 If the one with the discharge spits on persons who are clean, then they shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening. 9 Any saddle on which the one with the discharge rides shall be unclean.

4 Any bed upon which the person who discharges lies down becomes unclean, and any object upon which he sits becomes unclean. 5 And anyone who touches his bed must wash his garments and shall wash himself with water, and he shall be unclean until evening. 6 And the person who sits on the object upon which the person who discharges has sat must wash his garments, and he shall wash himself with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. 7 And the person who touches the body of the person who discharges must wash his garments, and he shall wash himself with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. 8 And if the person who discharges spits on one who is clean, then that one shall wash his garments, and he shall wash himself with water, and he shall be unclean until the evening. 9 And any saddle upon which the person who discharges rides becomes unclean.

4 “ ‘Any bed the man who has the flow of liquid body waste lies on will not be “clean.” Anything he sits on will not be “clean.”

5 “ ‘If any of you touches the man’s bed, you must wash your clothes. You must take a bath. You will be “unclean” until evening. 6 Suppose you sit on anything the man sat on. Then you must wash your clothes. You must take a bath. You will be “unclean” until evening.

7 “ ‘Suppose you touch the man who has the flow of liquid body waste. Then you must wash your clothes. You must take a bath. You will be “unclean” until evening.

8 “ ‘Suppose you are “clean.” And suppose the man who has the flow of liquid waste spits on you. Then you must wash your clothes. You must take a bath. You will be “unclean” until evening.

9 “ ‘Everything the man sits on when he is riding will be “unclean.”

4 ‘Every bed on which the person with the discharge lies becomes unclean, and everything on which he sits becomes unclean.

5 ‘Anyone, moreover, who touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening;

6 and whoever sits on the thing on which the man with the discharge has been sitting, shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.

7 ‘Also whoever touches the person with the discharge shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.

8 ‘Or if the man with the discharge spits on one who is clean, he too shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until evening.

9 ‘Every saddle on which the person with the discharge rides becomes unclean.
