Jude 16–17

16 These people are grumblers and faultfinders; they follow their own evil desires; they boast about themselves and flatter others for their own advantage.

17 But, dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ foretold.

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage. 17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

16 These people are grumblers and complainers, living only to satisfy their desires. They brag loudly about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

17 But you, my dear friends, must remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ predicted.

16 These are grumblers, complainers, walking according to their own lusts; and they mouth great swelling words, flattering people to gain advantage. 17 But you, beloved, remember the words which were spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ:

16 These people complain and blame others, doing the evil things they want to do. They brag about themselves, and they flatter others to get what they want.

17 Dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said before.

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaketh great swelling words), showing respect of persons for the sake of advantage.

17 But ye, beloved, remember ye the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts; and their mouth speaks swelling words, admiring persons for the sake of profit. 17 But ye, beloved, remember the words spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

16 These people complain, find fault, follow their own desires, say arrogant things, and flatter people in order to take advantage of them. 

17 Dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ told you to expect:

16 These people are discontented grumblers, walking according to their desires; their mouths utter arrogant words, flattering people for their own advantage.

17 But you, dear friends, remember what was predicted by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

16 These are grumblers and malcontents; they indulge their lusts; their mouths utter bombastic nonsense, flattering people to their own advantage.

17 But you, beloved, must remember the words previously spoken by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

16 These people are grumblers, discontented, proceeding according to their desires, and their mouths speaking pompous words, showing partiality to gain an advantage.

17 But you, dear friends, remember the words proclaimed beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,

16 Those people complain. They find fault with others. They follow their own evil longings. They brag about themselves. They praise others to help themselves.

17 Dear friends, remember what the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ said was going to happen.

16 These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage.

17 But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
