John 2:3–6

When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” And Jesus said to her, kWoman, lwhat does this have to do with me? mMy hour has not yet come.” His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Now there were six stone water jars there nfor the Jewish rites of purification, each holding twenty or thirty ogallons.1

When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him, “They have no more wine.”

Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied. My hour has not yet come.”

His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.”

Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
