Job 30:10–12

10 They detest me and keep their distance;

they do not hesitate to spit in my face.

11 Now that God has unstrung my bow and afflicted me,

they throw off restraint in my presence.

12 On my right the tribe attacks;

they lay snares for my feet,

they build their siege ramps against me.

10 They abhor me, they flee far from me,

And spare not to spit in my face.

11 Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me,

They have also let loose the bridle before me.

12 Upon my right hand rise the youth;

They push away my feet,

And they raise up against me the ways of their destruction.

10 They despise me and won’t come near me,

except to spit in my face.

11 For God has cut my bowstring.

He has humbled me,

so they have thrown off all restraint.

12 These outcasts oppose me to my face.

They send me sprawling

and lay traps in my path.

10 They abhor me, they keep far from me;

They do not hesitate to spit in my face.

11 Because He has loosed my bowstring and afflicted me,

They have cast off restraint before me.

12 At my right hand the rabble arises;

They push away my feet,

And they raise against me their ways of destruction.

10 They hate me and stay far away from me,

but they do not mind spitting in my face.

11 God has taken away my strength and made me suffer,

so they attack me with all their anger.

12 On my right side they rise up like a mob.

They lay traps for my feet

and prepare to attack me.

10 They abhor me, they stand aloof from me,

And spare not to spit in my face.

11 For he hath loosed his cord, and afflicted me;

And they have cast off the bridle before me.

12 Upon my right hand rise the rabble;

They thrust aside my feet,

And they cast up against me their ways of destruction.

10 They abhor me, they stand aloof from me, yea, they spare not to spit in my face. 11 For he hath loosed my cord and afflicted me; so they cast off the bridle before me. 12 At my right hand rise the young brood; they push away my feet, and raise up against me their pernicious ways;

10 Since they consider me disgusting, they keep their distance from me 

and don’t hesitate to spit in my face. 

11 Because God has untied my cord and has made me suffer, 

they are no longer restrained in my presence. 

12 They have attacked me on my right side like a mob. 

They trip my feet 

and then prepare ways to destroy me.

they have cast off restraint in my presence.

12 The rabble rise up at my right;

they trap my feet

and construct their siege ramp against me.

10 They abhor me; they keep aloof from me;

they do not hesitate to spit at the sight of me.

11 Because God has loosed my bowstring and humbled me,

they have cast off restraint in my presence.

12 On my right hand the rabble rise up;

they send me sprawling

and build roads for my ruin.

10 They abhor me; they keep aloof from me,

and they do not withhold spit from my face

11 because he has loosened his bowstring and humbled me,

and they have thrown off restraint in my presence.

12 On the right hand the brood rises up;

they put me to flight,

and they build up their siege ramps against me.

10 They hate me. They stay away from me.

They even dare to spit in my face.

11 God has made my body weak.

It’s like a tent that has fallen down.

So those children do what they want to in front of me.

12 Many people attack me on my right side.

They lay traps for my feet.

They come at me from every direction.

10 “They abhor me and stand aloof from me,

And they do not refrain from spitting at my face.

11 “Because He has loosed His bowstring and afflicted me,

They have cast off the bridle before me.

12 “On the right hand their brood arises;

They thrust aside my feet and build up against me their ways of destruction.
