Isaiah 44:6–8 — The New International Version (NIV)

“This is what the Lord says—

Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty:

I am the first and I am the last;

apart from me there is no God.

Who then is like me? Let him proclaim it.

Let him declare and lay out before me

what has happened since I established my ancient people,

and what is yet to come—

yes, let them foretell what will come.

Do not tremble, do not be afraid.

Did I not proclaim this and foretell it long ago?

You are my witnesses. Is there any God besides me?

No, there is no other Rock; I know not one.”

Isaiah 44:6–8 — King James Version (KJV 1900)

Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel,

And his redeemer the Lord of hosts;

I am the first, and I am the last;

And beside me there is no God.

And who, as I, shall call,

And shall declare it, and set it in order for me,

Since I appointed the ancient people?

And the things that are coming, and shall come, let them shew unto them.

Fear ye not, neither be afraid:

Have not I told thee from that time,

And have declared it? ye are even my witnesses.

Is there a God beside me?

Yea, there is no God; I know not any.

Isaiah 44:6–8 — New Living Translation (NLT)

This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies:

“I am the First and the Last;

there is no other God.

Who is like me?

Let him step forward and prove to you his power.

Let him do as I have done since ancient times

when I established a people and explained its future.

Do not tremble; do not be afraid.

Did I not proclaim my purposes for you long ago?

You are my witnesses—is there any other God?

No! There is no other Rock—not one!”

Isaiah 44:6–8 — The New King James Version (NKJV)

“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel,

And his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:

‘I am the First and I am the Last;

Besides Me there is no God.

And who can proclaim as I do?

Then let him declare it and set it in order for Me,

Since I appointed the ancient people.

And the things that are coming and shall come,

Let them show these to them.

Do not fear, nor be afraid;

Have I not told you from that time, and declared it?

You are My witnesses.

Is there a God besides Me?

Indeed there is no other Rock;

I know not one.’ ”

Isaiah 44:6–8 — New Century Version (NCV)

The Lord, the king of Israel,

is the Lord All-Powerful, who saves Israel.

This is what he says: “I am the beginning and the end.

I am the only God.

Who is a god like me?

That god should come and prove it.

Let him tell and explain all that has happened since I set up my ancient people.

He should also tell what will happen in the future.

Don’t be afraid! Don’t worry!

I have always told you what will happen.

You are my witnesses.

There is no other God but me.

I know of no other Rock; I am the only One.”

Isaiah 44:6–8 — American Standard Version (ASV 1901)

Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God. And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? and the things that are coming, and that shall come to pass, let them declare. Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have I not declared unto thee of old, and showed it? and ye are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? yea, there is no Rock; I know not any.

Isaiah 44:6–8 — 1890 Darby Bible (DARBY)

Thus saith Jehovah, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last, and beside me there is no God. And who, as I, shall call, and shall declare it, and set it in order for me, since I appointed the ancient people? And the coming things, and those that shall happen, let them declare unto them. Fear not, neither be afraid. Have I not caused thee to hear from that time, and have declared it? and ye are my witnesses. Is there a †God beside me? yea, there is no Rock: I know not any.

Isaiah 44:6–8 — GOD’S WORD Translation (GW)

The Lord is Israel’s king and defender.

He is the Lord of Armies.

This is what the Lord says:

I am the first and the last,

and there is no God except me.

If there is anyone like me, let him say so.

Let him tell me what happened

when I established my people long ago.

Then let him predict what will happen to them.

Don’t be terrified or afraid.

Didn’t I make this known to you long ago?

You are my witnesses.

Is there any God except me?

There is no ⸤other⸥ rock; I know of none.

Isaiah 44:6–8 — The Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

This is what the Lord, the King of Israel and its Redeemer, the Lord of Hosts, says:

I am the first and I am the last.

There is no God but Me.

Who, like Me, can announce the future?

Let him say so and make a case before Me,

since I have established an ancient people.

Let these gods declare the coming things,

and what will take place.

Do not be startled or afraid.

Have I not told you and declared it long ago?

You are my witnesses!

Is there any God but Me?

There is no other Rock; I do not know any.

Isaiah 44:6–8 — The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)

Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel,

and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts:

I am the first and I am the last;

besides me there is no god.

Who is like me? Let them proclaim it,

let them declare and set it forth before me.

Who has announced from of old the things to come?

Let them tell us what is yet to be.

Do not fear, or be afraid;

have I not told you from of old and declared it?

You are my witnesses!

Is there any god besides me?

There is no other rock; I know not one.

Isaiah 44:6–8 — The Lexham English Bible (LEB)

Thus says Yahweh, the king of Israel,

“I am the first, and I am the last,

and there is no god besides me.

And who is like me? Let him proclaim it!

And let him declare it and set it in order for me

since I established an eternal people and things that are to come,

and let them tell them the things that are coming.

You must not tremble,

and you must not be paralyzed with fear.

Have I not made you hear from of old

and declared it, and you are my witnesses?

Is there a god besides me?

And there is no rock! I know none!”

Isaiah 44:6–8 — New International Reader’s Version (1998) (NIrV)

“I am Israel’s King. I set them free.

I am the Lord who rules over all.

So listen to what I am saying.

I am the First and the Last.

I am the one and only God.

Who is like me? Let him come forward and speak boldly.

Let him tell me everything that has happened

since I created my people long ago.

And let him tell me what has not happened yet.

Let him announce ahead of time what is going to take place.

Do not tremble with fear. Do not be afraid.

Didn’t I announce everything that has happened?

Didn’t I tell you about it long ago?

You are my witnesses. Is there any other God but me?

No! There is no other Rock. I do not know even one.”

From the time that I established the ancient nation.

And let them declare to them the things that are coming

And the events that are going to take place.

‘Do not tremble and do not be afraid;

Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it?

And you are My witnesses.

Is there any God besides Me,

Or is there any other Rock?

I know of none.’ ”
