4 All the stars in the sky will be dissolved

and the heavens rolled up like a scroll;

all the starry host will fall

like withered leaves from the vine,

like shriveled figs from the fig tree.

5 My sword has drunk its fill in the heavens;

see, it descends in judgment on Edom,

the people I have totally destroyed.

4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved,

And the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll:

And all their host shall fall down,

As the leaf falleth off from the vine,

And as a falling fig from the fig tree.

5 For my sword shall be bathed in heaven:

Behold, it shall come down upon Idumea,

And upon the people of my curse, to judgment.

4 The heavens above will melt away

and disappear like a rolled-up scroll.

The stars will fall from the sky

like withered leaves from a grapevine,

or shriveled figs from a fig tree.

5 And when my sword has finished its work in the heavens,

it will fall upon Edom,

the nation I have marked for destruction.

4 All the host of heaven shall be dissolved,

And the heavens shall be rolled up like a scroll;

All their host shall fall down

As the leaf falls from the vine,

And as fruit falling from a fig tree.

5 “For My sword shall be bathed in heaven;

Indeed it shall come down on Edom,

And on the people of My curse, for judgment.

4 The sun, moon, and stars will dissolve,

and the sky will be rolled up like a scroll.

The stars will fall

like dead leaves from a vine

or dried-up figs from a fig tree.

5 The Lord’s sword in the sky is covered with blood.

It will cut through Edom

and destroy those people as an offering to the Lord.

4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host shall fade away, as the leaf fadeth from off the vine, and as a fading leaf from the fig-tree. 5 For my sword hath drunk its fill in heaven: behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and upon the people of my curse, to judgment.

4 And all the host of the heavens shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll; and all their host shall fade away, as a leaf fadeth from off the vine, and as the withered fruit from the fig-tree. 5 For my sword is bathed in the heavens; behold, it shall come down upon Edom, and upon the people of my ban, to judgment.

it will fall on Edom 

and on the people I’ve claimed for destruction.

The skies will roll up like a scroll,

and their stars will all wither

as leaves wither on the vine,

and foliage on the fig tree.

5 When My sword has drunk its fill in the heavens,

it will then come down on Edom

and on the people I have set apart for destruction.

and the skies roll up like a scroll.

All their host shall wither

like a leaf withering on a vine,

or fruit withering on a fig tree.

5 When my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens,

lo, it will descend upon Edom,

upon the people I have doomed to judgment.

4 and all the host of heaven shall rot.

And the skies shall roll up like a scroll,

and all their host shall wither

like the withering of a leaf from a vine,

or like the withering from a fig tree.

5 When my sword is drenched in the heavens,

look! It will descend upon Edom,

and upon the people of my ban, for judgment.

4 All of the stars in the heavens will vanish.

The sky will be rolled up like a scroll.

All of the stars in the sky will fall like dried-up leaves from a vine.

They will drop like wrinkled figs from a fig tree.

5 The sword of the Lord will finish its deadly work in the sky.

Then it will come down to strike Edom.

He will totally destroy that nation.

4 And all the host of heaven will wear away,

And the sky will be rolled up like a scroll;

All their hosts will also wither away

As a leaf withers from the vine,

Or as one withers from the fig tree.

5 For My sword is satiated in heaven,

Behold it shall descend for judgment upon Edom

And upon the people whom I have devoted to destruction.
