Isaiah 22:8–10

He has taken away hthe covering of Judah.

In that day you looked to ithe weapons of the House of the Forest, and you saw that jthe breaches of the city of David were many. kYou collected the waters of the lower pool, 10 and you counted the houses of Jerusalem, and you broke down the houses to fortify the wall.

Isaiah 22:8–10 — The New International Version (NIV)

The Lord stripped away the defenses of Judah,

and you looked in that day

to the weapons in the Palace of the Forest.

You saw that the walls of the City of David

were broken through in many places;

you stored up water

in the Lower Pool.

10 You counted the buildings in Jerusalem

and tore down houses to strengthen the wall.
