24 Therefore this is what the Lord, the Lord Almighty, says:

“My people who live in Zion,

do not be afraid of the Assyrians,

who beat you with a rod

and lift up a club against you, as Egypt did.

25 Very soon my anger against you will end

and my wrath will be directed to their destruction.”

24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts,

O my people that dwellest in Zion,

Be not afraid of the Assyrian:

He shall smite thee with a rod,

And shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt.

25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease,

And mine anger in their destruction.

24 So this is what the Lord, the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, says: “O my people in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians when they oppress you with rod and club as the Egyptians did long ago. 25 In a little while my anger against you will end, and then my anger will rise up to destroy them.”

24 Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O My people, who dwell in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrian. He shall strike you with a rod and lift up his staff against you, in the manner of Egypt. 25 For yet a very little while and the indignation will cease, as will My anger in their destruction.”

24 This is what the Lord God All-Powerful says:

“My people living in Jerusalem,

don’t be afraid of the Assyrians,

who beat you with a rod

and raise a stick against you, as Egypt did.

25 After a short time my anger against you will stop,

and then I will turn my anger to destroying them.”

24 Therefore thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts, O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian, though he smite thee with the rod, and lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt. 25 For yet a very little while, and the indignation against thee shall be accomplished, and mine anger shall be directed to his destruction.

24 Therefore thus saith the Lord, Jehovah of hosts: O my people that dwellest in Zion, be not afraid of the Assyrian; he shall smite thee with a rod, and shall lift up his staff against thee, after the manner of Egypt: 25 for yet a very little while, and the indignation shall be accomplished, and mine anger, in their destruction.

24 The Almighty Lord of Armies says: 

My people who live in Zion, 

don’t be afraid of the Assyrians when they strike with a rod 

or when they raise their staff against you 

as the Egyptians did. 

25 Very soon I will unleash my fury, 

and my anger will destroy them. 

24 Therefore, the Lord God of Hosts says this: “My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear Assyria, though he strikes you with a rod and raises his staff over you as the Egyptians did. 25 In just a little while My wrath will be spent and My anger will turn to their destruction.”

24 Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: O my people, who live in Zion, do not be afraid of the Assyrians when they beat you with a rod and lift up their staff against you as the Egyptians did. 25 For in a very little while my indignation will come to an end, and my anger will be directed to their destruction.

24 Therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh of hosts:

“My people who live in Zion,

you must not be afraid of Assyria.

It beats you with the rod,

and it lifts up its staff against you as the Egyptians did.

25 My indignation will come to an end in just a very little while,

and my anger will be directed to their destruction.”

24 The Lord rules over all. The Lord says,

“My people who live in Zion,

do not be afraid of the Assyrian army.

They beat you with rods.

They lift up war clubs against you,

just as the Egyptians did.

25 Very soon I will not be angry with you anymore.

I will turn my anger against the Assyrians.

I will destroy them.”

24 Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts, “O My people who dwell in Zion, do not fear the Assyrian who strikes you with the rod and lifts up his staff against you, the way Egypt did.

25 “For in a very little while My indignation against you will be spent and My anger will be directed to their destruction.”
