4 For somewhere he has spoken about the seventh day in these words: “On the seventh day God rested from all his works.” 5 And again in the passage above he says, “They shall never enter my rest.”

4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.

4 We know it is ready because of the place in the Scriptures where it mentions the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.” 5 But in the other passage God said, “They will never enter my place of rest.”

4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; 5 and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.”

4 In the Scriptures he talked about the seventh day of the week: “And on the seventh day God rested from all his works.” 5 And again in the Scripture God said, “They will never enter my rest.”

4 For he hath said somewhere of the seventh day on this wise, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works; 5 and in this place again, They shall not enter into my rest.

4 For he has said somewhere of the seventh day thus, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works: 5 and in this again, If they shall enter into my rest.

4 Somewhere in Scripture God has said this about the seventh day: “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.” 

5 God also said in the same passage, “They will never enter my place of rest.”

4 Somewhere he spoke about the seventh day. He said, “On the seventh day God rested from all his work.” 5 In the part of Scripture I talked about earlier God said, “They will never enjoy the rest I planned for them.”

4 For He has said somewhere concerning the seventh day: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;

5 and again in this passage, “They shall not enter My rest.”
