Hebrews 11:18–19

18 even though God had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 19 Abraham reasoned that God could even raise the dead, and so in a manner of speaking he did receive Isaac back from death.

18 Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

18 even though God had told him, “Isaac is the son through whom your descendants will be counted.” 19 Abraham reasoned that if Isaac died, God was able to bring him back to life again. And in a sense, Abraham did receive his son back from the dead.

18 of whom it was said, “In Isaac your seed shall be called,” 19 concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead, from which he also received him in a figurative sense.

18 God had said, “The descendants I promised you will be from Isaac.” 19 Abraham believed that God could raise the dead, and really, it was as if Abraham got Isaac back from death.

18 even he to whom it was said, In Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 accounting that God is able to raise up, even from the dead; from whence he did also in a figure receive him back.

18 as to whom it had been said, In Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19 counting that God was able to raise him even from among the dead, whence also he received him in a figure.

18 God had said to him, “Through Isaac your descendants will carry on your name.” 19 Abraham believed that God could bring Isaac back from the dead. Abraham did receive Isaac back from the dead in a figurative sense. 

18 the one it had been said about, Your seed will be traced through Isaac. 19 He considered God to be able even to raise someone from the dead, and as an illustration, he received him back.

18 of whom he had been told, “It is through Isaac that descendants shall be named for you.” 19 He considered the fact that God is able even to raise someone from the dead—and, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.

18 with reference to whom it was said, “In Isaac your descendants will be named,” 19 having reasoned that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which he received him back also as a symbol.

18 God had said to him, “Your family line will continue through Isaac.” Even so, Abraham was going to offer him up. 19 Abraham believed that God could raise the dead. In a way, he did receive Isaac back from death.

18 it was he to whom it was said, “In Isaac your descendants shall be called.”

19 He considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received him back as a type.
